I am in no way a modder, but had ordered a pack of CE2 clearomizers and really liked them. The problem I had is that the tubes crack so easily I just don't want to throw them out as the insides are still good. I read and watched a video on the 3ml bd syringe mod to replace the tube and it seemed easy. It was, but I still am having a problem. I am getting a little leaking at the battery end. I dont see a drip or anything like that, but i can feel the liquid at the bottom base and when I take it off the battery, there is a little fluid on the battery. That can not be good for the battery. Do you think that it has to do with the cut I made on the syringe not being 100 percent straight, its pretty close. Also I see some people say that it should not leak but you can use glue. Gotvapes sells a food grade glue but they are sold out. Is there another type of glue I can use and get locally at a hardware store? Any advice would help.

The juice pooling in the connector is typically a result of leakage from the top when tilted. The juice runs down the air tube and produces the gurggling sound. Just make sure your Drip tip is seated against your silicon coil cap on top and that should eliminate 99% of the excessive leaking. I got food grade silicon from mcmaster.com, never found it locally.
Hope that helps.

The difference between a clearomizer and a syringe tube mod is that with the syringe tube mod has the tube sliding over the original metal tube of the CE2 which provides a better seal without any glue. The clearomizer, has the tube over the 'inner part' of the steel tube CE2 with very minimal overlapping of the metal and the tube. That said, clearomizer is very prone to leaking after you open it up to clean it or if the tube cracks. If you take it apart then you must glue the tube to the metal base. Another tip to help CE2s is to punch a hole in the filler plug with a regular size paper puncher. This will eliminate the inner part of the plug which helps with performance. The real point of syringe tube mod is to enable the user to easily take the mod apart for cleaning, IMHO. And that is exactly why after a year, it's about the only carto that I use because of its reliability.

There is a thread here somewhere which I learned to do this...

It's very easy to clean and dry burn when you take it apart, no glues required. Here is my own carto that's over 4 months and still running...If you like the clearomizers, you'll love this as well...Cheers!
