CE2s in the Torpedo tank

Hi, I haven't posted outside the Newbie forum before and I haven't posted there in almost 3 months as I had things pretty well sussed out with a couple of Egos and a Vaporluxe until...I went on a shopping spree today and ordered a Provari. I obviously couldn't stop there so I also ordered two of Jonah's Torpedo tanks (a biggun' an' a liller'un) to go on top of this fine device.

So this brings me to my question(s):

The Torpedo uses cut CE2 (clearos, cartos, no real difference since its cut?) inside the tank. Jonah's site offered additional pre-cut CE2s but these were out of stock. Like most ex-smokers, I like to be prepared and have back up on hand. I would really appreciate it if some of you older hands could give me some info regarding the lifetime of one of these Ce2s when used in the tank and whether it can be cleaned and reused (if so, for how long?).

I understand that the CE2 has been superseded by a CE3 or, possibly even a CE4 model (I never used these before because I don't want to mess with syringe refills and, thanks to the tank, I won't have to in this case of using them), is this true and if so will it be possible to use the newer versions and/or still find the older ones? And, of course, I'll have to 'cut' them, too.

To give you an idea of my 'be prepared' mentality. After buying a couple of packs of cartos when I got my first Ego last year, I decided to cut out the middle man and ordered 200 direct from China. I also started DIY juice pretty soon after as well and am pretty comfortable/confident with that aspect of vaping. I currently vape about 2 - 3 ml a day so, I figure I'm pretty middle of the road as far as usage goes.

I suppose I am just interested in getting some good tips on using new equipment but I am wondering if I will need to buy a lot of these CE2s (back to China?) or if these tanks will make it easier to reuse what I have through cleaning and maintenance.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I checked at vapor-age.com to be sure about it, so if you want to be prepared to use your torpedo tanks when you get them you need to order a pack of steel(yes it does make a difference) XL ce2's and the regular steel ce2's. You also need a small pipe cutter and cut them a quarter inch or so above the connector end and remove the long part of the tube carefully so you don't break the wires. You might need to remove the pieces in the top to make it easier. Your tank should come with a ce2 installed so when you remove it you will see what I'm talking about. As for how long they last.......well, I've had a few last 2 or 3 months with periodic cleaning and dry burning. I've converted all my ce2's into rebuildables so I won't ever have to buy another one. There a thread in the modding forum under atomizer mods that explains how.

Good luck and enjoy your new toys!
