CE2's unreliable?

I want something that just works. My CE2 works on occasion, but eventually I always end up in the same place. A horrible burnt electrical taste. It is disgusting. I never want to experience that again, and it is killing my excitement of ecigs. Are DC's more reliable? I almost want to toss my torpedo tank, just because it only uses CE2's. I have lost my faith in them. I thought I fixed it, but half way through the night, it fails me. Any suggestions? Is there another option with my torpedo tank?

Sounds like wicking problems. If it is, a couple of things that help are tipping the ce2 upside down and back up between vapes and taking long slow drags. A six second drag allows twice as much wicking time as a three second one. I stick with the topcoils because they're long lasting and vape great as long as you don't outrun the wick. Hopefully some others will suggest something that works better for you. Good luck.

I used to have a torpedo tank...it's not the tank itself. It's the ce2. When you can take it apart, take the silicone ceramic cup seal and clip the wick openings just a tad bigger so that it will wick faster. That's the reason I gave up on them. I had to mod every one of them that I had and got tired of it. After all the revisions, you would think the manufacturer would get it correct and fix the damn problems.

I'll give that a try, thanks for the suggestion.

What PG/VG are you using in it? Reservoir cartos like 30% or less VG though some thinner 50/50's may work. But CE2's often need their inner seal modded or flipped.

Here is something to remember about ecig stuff - if it's clear OR new you may have to screw with it to get it to work right.

Yeah... I only have 100% VG right now.

Ah that may be your problem i vape with 100% pg and dont have any ce2 problems with it installed in a tank .
I heard vg does not wick as well - to thick .
Sounds like your burnt electrical taste is coming from the coil not getting enough e-liquid delivery and when its fired thats what your getting.
Kinda like a car cigarette lighter !

Im using the torpedo tank and ce2s from bombay vaping, think they are royal smokers.
There 2.6-3.0 ohms using there pure vg juice only. When i used a mix of pg had a problem
with wicking should be the other way aroung using just vg ,getting great hitsevery time,
just let them wick for about 10 minutes and prime befour use.I do clean the wicks and dry
burn at least once a week which takes only 5 minutes,do the same with 3 other MAP tanks
and they work great also, when i vape i usualy tip the pv up a little,im using the provari v2
and v1 at around 5.3-5.5 volts.hope this helps, its been working so good the dcs have been
sitting on the table for 3 weeks.
