ive been looking at tank mods
1st, as of now i use the 1000 mah ego battery
in the next couple week i want to get a provari and a tank mod
i have looked at the dct map tank and the map tank with the cut ce2
ive looked at the liquinator and torpedo tank....
which is better? should i get the cut ce2 mods or the ones with the punched hole, i looked through the forums and i read good reviews and i read bad reviews, what are some pro opinions?
thanks in advance guys
also, what ohm rating should i get? i was think the higher the better cuz i can always up the coltage on the provari, but wasnt sure if thats the correct way to think about it

I've only used the MAP tanks with the CE2 carto's so I can only speak for that one. It works well. They all have their quirks with the carto's and wicking and require some trial and error to get the hang of.

Before making a decision on a tank, I'd suggest trying out the different carto's they use. The carto is the most important part. Some people don't like the carto's with filler. Some don't like the CE2's. I'm fine with either but I prefer the flavor I get from CE2's. There are also tanks that take different length carto's which will also be a consideration.

Once you know what kind of carto you want to use, it's just a matter of what tank will look good to you with your ProVari.

I'd suggest the higher ohm carto's with the ProVari or any other VV mod for exactly the reason you mentioned. IMO the higher ohm carto's also produce better flavor. That could be all in my head though. :D

i used the MAP tanks (ce2), but now primarily use the DCT (dual coil tank), also made by MAP.

both tanks work well, with the MAP being a little higher on maintenance, ie replacing ce2, getting the top cap just so. the DCT (or liquinator) are also easier to fill. with some of my tanks i put a filler hole in the tank itself, sealed with an 0-ring and a small screw.

with the cartomizer tanks, some have reported leaking from the carto. i've not experienced this. i have had some cartos not in a tank leak, which is what i believe the issue is. IOW, its the carto, not the tank.

but, as dudeman said, its best to know which type of carto you like better, since the tank is really just a mechanism to keep liquid flowing/wicking to it.
