CE5 clearomizer e liquid flavors

I was just wondering how well the CE5 holds up to certain e juices. I was reading about some juices cracking tanks, like citrus and cinnamon. Can I use cinnamon ( not atomic or extremely strong, just regular) or cherry limeade in my CE5? Or should I get a different type of tank for those flavors? If so, what kind would you recommend? I don't know how to rebuild coils so I like tanks that I can just buy replacement coils for.

I'm not sure what threads my Tsunami battery has only that the Kanger T2 and the CE5 tanks fit it. Will the Kanger Protank fit my battery? Does it have the same threading as theKanger T2 ?
I already have 5 tanks I bought that I thought would fit my battery that didn't, so I'm a bit more cautious now.
Thanks for the response!

It looks like an Ego / 510, but looks can be deceiving!

The Protank is 510, the inner threads of a battery. Some CEs are 510 even though they have a "skirt", some are Ego, with the threads on the skirt. On a true Ego or Ego clone, either should work...

Check your invoice on the ones that did (and didn't) work, and see if it says what thread, i.e. 510, 808, etc.

Or take it to a local store and see what fits?

My battery is a ego/510 thread, so I got a protank today. I really like it. I got it and some cinnamon ejuice and have been vaping on it since I got home. It really seems to be smooth so far.

How often do you have to change the head on it? On my CE5's I have to change them out about every 2-3 weeks.

Also, the taste is not very strong. It is regular cinnamon with 70 vg- 30 pg mix. Does the protank kind of weaken the flavor of the ejuice?

Head life, like on all heads, depends on a lot of variables: composition of juice, type of flavoring, watts used, coil resistance, and probably a few other things... so maybe a ballpark guess would be - about the same as what you get now for head life? (In ml juice used. The Protank is about twice the capacity of a CEx.)

Not too hard to clean, and able to be dry burned.

As it's a bottom coil, the vape is generally cooler, and that may translate to you as weaker. Or you may want to put in a lower resistance coil, unless your battery is VV.

The main juice I am going to be running through this is cinnamon, 70% vg- 30% pg, 12 mg nic. Although I might get some cinnamon from mbv at VG 70% - Distilled H20 30%, 12 mg nic. I was wanting to try a juice with no pg in it. I heard that the 30% h2o might be better for my tank than 100% vg as the vg tends to be thicker and the water thins it out.
I think the heads that came with it are 2.4 ohm.
I guess I'll be able to tell when it needs to be cleaned and/or changed.
Thanks for all the help!

So far I really love the Protank but it does have an airy draw to it. But I guess I can live with that. It seems to be really smooth too.
I just hope I can handle taking it apart to clean. I've watched several videos about taking them apart so I think I can do it. But since I've gotten older my eyes just aren't what they used to be so I hope I can see all those little parts so that I can get it put back together right.

Thanks for all the help David, you've been great!

Easy to clean. At the sink with hot water.

Unscrew the knurled ring from the bottom. Pull it off the tank and set in sink.

Fill tank with hot water, shake, dump. Repeat as needed.

Set aside for drying.

Pick up bottom piece and wiggle the white silicone rubber piece off, rinse under running water and set aside to dry.

Unscrew the remaining piece - the actual head assembly - from the bottom piece. At this point, you can choose to toss it and use a new one, or clean it. More running water, only pat dry, don't wipe! You'll ruin the wicks.

Once all's dry - patience, or a hair dryer, or even just "mostly" dry :p - screw the head (or new one) into the base. Put the rubber piece on, fill tube and put the base on.

Heads do come in different resistances, tiny numbers etched on the head, so you can't see it unless it's all taken apart. Once you find the value that works for you, just buy that value spares.

Plug one, maybe two, of the tiny holes in the base. Work the tip of a toothpick in. Changes the draw. Or you could try an Evod head. Some say it tightens the draw, but I've not tried it. Yet :vapor:
