I don't bother recoiling, as the stock
coils have been lasting me 2+ months with regular dry burns / cleanings. And they're cheap.
They're simple to rewick. I use cotton. Takes a few minutes. Slide old wick out, dry burn / rinse coil, insert new wick.
I've modded them to remove the metal cone at the top of the silicone (helps with the draw), and I've been removing the insulator material around the coil. So, basically, just a cotton wick running through the exposed coils. They work great.
Hardest part is finding the right thickness wick. I'm getting better. Too thick and I get dry hits. Too thin, and the dreaded
juice drop on the battery.
