Hello all,

@Mooch published the video about marrying batteries,
in which he said that "matching batteries" is not a good term, and thus suggested "marriage".
I agree with with him that there can hardly be a match of cells.

But "marriage" is an act between two humans, be they heterosexual or homosexual.
(The latter is already allowed in many countries!)

Thus, the name "marriage" cannot apply for mod cells in the first place.
Anyway, when it comes to marriage, you may tell me which gender your cells may have.

You also know, that there are mods around which take 3 or even more cells.

Can you think of a legal marriage of 3 or more persons?
Certainly not!

Thus, I suggest to use the name "cell set" for a combination of 2 or more cells for a mod!
I do the same.

I hope very much that you can understand my suggestion, and @Mooch also.

Regards,
aLyr

People need to stop getting so worked up over simple terminology. The truth is, as long as people understand the concept of what it means then it DOES NOT MATTER what they call it. "Marriage", "Pairing", "Permanently Grouping", or whatever else you might come up with, is really irrelevant.

Honestly, it's been called a married set for so long that it will never change. The term is used in many forms of industry from automotive to fasteners. It's a recognized term that means this part is to only be used with this part after initial instillation or if machined and matched. So that is how it came about, it's not a vape only thing.

In the end though, it's no different then calling e-liquid, juice. Actually married sets or pairs, is a more accurate description/term than e juice. It really is just splitting hairs though. If someone says matched batteries or married, people know what they mean.

Many people would actually not get the term cell, especially in the US as it is not used often. Really the only time I hear the term cell is when talking about watches. Outside of that environment I can't really recall anyone using the term (besides engineers).

I do not agree!

Using the name "married couple" does not reflect what it really is!

I did not see anything more than this here.
At that, it does not reflect that there are mods with 3 or more cells.

Again, people ought to use the name "cell" instead of "battery", which is the better name for LiIon cells which we use in our E-cigarettes.

Could you please learn, that we use LiIon cells in our mods, which may have limited performance?

The point is call your cells what makes you comfortable, we'll know what you are referring to just as you know what we are referring to when we mention married batteries.
