Mooch you and I have talked a bit through conversations but I wanted to post a couple questions since I see these questions asked frequently.

Dual cell mods, is there really a reason to marry sets if they both still take a full charge?

If there is unbalanced discharge is that a problem? How much is to much?

If there is unbalanced discharge isn't it just like using unmatched cells?

I'm moving to a lot of dual cell devices both parallel and series, not for the power to sub-ohm but more to get longer life out of the device, longer vape time between cell swaps. I have several married sets but question the necessity if they don't discharge evenly.

Any additional knowledge you can share on dual cell devices would be appreciated.

These are huge questions! It would take a couple pages to respond, but here's the short version...

Marrying is recommended but they don't have to be identical. Using the same model and capacity cells ensured that you get the longest run time. Using very different cells could potentially be a problem if running them in series down to crazy low voltages. No problems in parallel for most setups. I can't give you hard numbers because there are too many variables to mention.

I am discussing the topic of battery marriage in length in the future after I run some tests to demonstrate some of the things I will be mentioning.
