The vape community loves to butcher the meaning of terms. They ususally call something that is obviously a circuit board a "chip". They call mass-produced things "mods". The terms "coil" and "atomizer" are often interchanged in a confusing way. Learn to deal with it. Coming in here with barely 100 posts to your credit and giving people with many thousands of posts on this forum a hard time is not the way to win friends or influence people.

@Letitia,
do you think I should ask my old lady and the other woman if they'd like being referred to as my cell set?

This thread is silly. I'm off to play with my canine cell.
Maybe ask the old lady if she would prefer another moniker? :lol:

"Figure of speech" - please familiarise yourself with the term. really, please do.

"Marrying" batteries = from the point of "marriage", they go with each other, and only with each other, they support each other in their daily works, grow old together, until only death does them apart.

I'm not really sure why using that term is a problem for you. If it is on religious grounds, let me candid but polite: Your religious ideas have no power over other people. Full stop.

Can you think of a legal marriage of 3 or more persons?
Certainly not!
That's called polygamy. Not popular in the West, but some societies do it.

I do not agree!

Using the name "married set" does not reflect what it really is!

At that, people ought to use the name "cell" instead of "battery", which is the better name for LiIon cells which we use in our E-cigarettes.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the "Defense of Marriage Act" never included batteries and it was ruled unconstitutional anyway. I am not sure why you want to discriminate against poor innocent batteries but I am sure that makes you some kind of "ist". :D

Seriously though people and batteries are not the only places the term marriage is used. For instance in trading stock options there are strategies called "Married Calls" and "Married Puts". Do you have a problem with these uses as well?

No idea how to rate this one.:)

For the sake of clarity; I'm not really deeply offended. I save my offense for things that matter. Like war, murder, rape, famine, child abuse, and so on. I'm just screwing with him because he deserves it.

    Sometimes you have to just live with it and this is one of those times. You can call it what you like, I get what you're talking about when you do and have no problem with it. Now others might ask you what you're talking about.

    Here's a ponder for you though, calling it a cells as you did is wrong. A cell is a group of batteries in a set that increases power. When it is one, it's a battery. So several batteries make a cell not several cells make a cell. Well they do but that would imply several batteries in a cell, then the individual cells are connected to create a larger cell.
