I've been puzzled for a couple of weeks now about the same kind of leaking in my LP Reo Grand, from some unknown point. So I was excited to find this thread, and I was sure that I finally discovered my problem.
I love my Reo so much. I've only had it since July, but it's attached to my hand all the time now. Anyway, I don't have the part, but I took the screw out of the black plastic piece to move it down and see if I could tell where the leak was coming from. It seemed to be the same area the OP had. juice all over the inside, back and sides and inside the black part. However, not having a replacement part at this time of course, I had no option but to just clean it up, reposition the black plastic block and put the screw back in again, tight. And guess what?
No leaking since. Not even a drop. Could I have somehow fixed the leak by just repositioning the black plastic block tightly? I mean I'm happy, but this is strange!

Its unlikely you've fixed the leak by removing the black plastic block (often referred to as the delrin cover), but, now that you've done that, and cleaned it all up, if you remove it again tomorrow, if there is still a leak you will see where it is coming from. +1 on getting more familiar with the internals of your Reo. Be very careful when doing up the screw on the delrin cover/black plastic block, as the threads can easily strip, it just needs to be snugged up.

I can do a 7 to 8 second one and I've read post of people who don't like regulated devices because of the cut off after 10 seconds of a hit. I think ST does long hits.

I would get frustrated at times at my regulated device for the 10 sec cutoff - sometimes I would press the button for ~ 5 secs, then quickly let off and back on to get a longer hit without reaching the cutoff =/ But since going to mecs and the REO, where I could drop the ohms and get fuller hits to begin with - I'm at 7-8 sec hits on the regular.

Mia, it could be the nipple also. My nipple was cracked and came off in pieces. Either way Rob will take good care of you. Good luck!

I can't believe how helpful all of you have been. Thank you.

Yes, I thought I had the same problem you had...now I'm just confused. I figured it would keep leaking. I mean, I didn't do anything except clean it up and reposition the delrin cover (thank you Ian444). I was waiting for the leak and ready to PM Rob with my problem. But it hasn't leaked. And I used it all day and last night.
I'm still waiting to see the telltale leak, but there is no leak anymore, so far!
I wonder if possibly the tube may have been loose, and possibly I accidentally tightened it? Or something else?
It's a mystery. But so far, so good.

Ok, guys I'm in serious need of your help! I've been having the same leaking issue with my LP grand. I decided that I'd unscrew the black thingy and check inside there. Well it was full of juice! I rinsed it out with water and went to screw it back on and I've done something! My black firing button keeps falling out!!!! I'm scared to death that I've just ruined my reo!!!
