So after this last weekend of a messed up firing pin something else which is prolly my fault. I ended up taking about my grand to find out my gasket was broken in half. So I used my rebuild kit to replace the center pin and gasket and put together. At the same time I replaced firing pin.

Well ever since I did that I have leakage from where the hose connects to the center post. I can't figure out why cause it Doesent leak when I look at it and squeeze bottle. Over a few days though the liquid will start seeping out of the cracks on the cover that covers the firing pin. Do I need another rebuild kit or could I have out it back together wrong?

Thanks

Hmm.. I've rebuilt my grand a couple times now and I never had an issue like this. My best guess would be the center o-ring where the juice is fed up through. Try taking it a part again and make sure you're not squishing the center pin by over tightening.

If that doesn't work might want to speak with rob. The only thing better than a Reo is robs sense of hospitality and customer service. :)

Good luck bud

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
i dont recall the center post having threads.....what does it screw down into?

ahhh the only thing i didn't do was the glue thing.....what kind of glue do i need to use here

you don't need the glue i don't use on mine with no issues ever the part that goes into the tube has threads that screw onto the bottom of the centre post if you turn the center post it can tear out the gasket you need to turn the tube end its like putting a nut on a bolt you turn the nut not the bolt

I didn't think we were supposed to remove the little screw in the REO Grands. I still never have.

The screw in the delrin cover is to be treated with the utmost care when putting it back in. It is not anchored in anything but the aluminum body of the REO.

Can strip easy if not aligned properly or put in over tight.

I did take one out once. I was scared. I will not do it again if I can help it.
