So I'm new to the world of vaping and I've been using smok Tek 510 cartomizers (2.0 ohm). I like them so far but with the thick VG juices, it's kind of a pain in the .... to get the juices evenly distributed throughout the filler and I have to constantly worry about topping it off to keep it wet.

Someone mentioned that there's another type of cartomizer that doesn't use polyfill and just keeps the liquid suspended in the tube. I'd love to hear some opinions on these cartos vs the polyfill ones. Is the filling and maintenance on these things that much better and are there any drawbacks?

Also, what are some brands and models I should check out?

I have tried a bunch of non filler cartos and I always end up going to poly.
VG is thicker to get through... Try maybe getting the same flavor in a PG/VG mix? 80/20 or 70/30 will ease it up a lot. I know sounds crazy but a few drops of water (CAREFUL with amount) might help too. But do not get crazy just do a mini sample run...

Still best advice is looking for a PG/VG mixed liquid... I would look into that before spending (wasting) money on non filer cartos :)

Oh I see I was worried that you might have a PG allergy...
Eh.. the water "method" is really shabby...

I do not how much liquid and empty little bottles you have... but.. Take a little in the bottle and add a few drops (just a few) mix it up and check.. be carefull do not dilute it too much you'll end up wasting the juice..

After you mix a few drops try dripping on the atomizer instead and giving it a trial run...

What sort of hard ware PV, Attys, Carots are we working with?

Once again only try a small amount of "water add method"... well try figuring something else out... just need more info :)

Ya.. pushing it that far back might turn into a problem.. You are pushing down on the coil and "might" mess it up..
Thats why I asked about what you are using... The smocketchs that had were packed super tight. They are good cartos performance wise though IMHO.

Few ways out...
Try slightly diluting the juice (very small batch at a time but once again not the best method).
Next time order up some boge brand cartomizers, liberty flights got them and they are located in San Diego so you ll get supplies from them quick (PS I am in NorCal) Electronic Cigarette - Cartomizers - Boge Cartomizers

Which particular non filler cartos were you originally looking into?

Side note look into one of those.. Vape-O-Matic Liquinator 3mL

Unless you thin the juice, ce2's are not the way to go. They can't wick fast enough with a mixed juice let alone a thicker juice. I used to be a ce2 fangirl but got tired of tinkering with them just to get a decent vape. The only really good thing they work well in is a MAP tank that cloudsofvapor.com carries.

I got my Smok Techs from Liberty-Flights. They're great.

I was looking into the C-E2 R4 ceramic cartos. Any thoughts on them?

Ok glad you know about LF, they often have great deals on quantity items.

The C-e2 r4 I am not gonna be discussing :) Nor will I ever spend a penny on them :)

But do check out that last link I gave you for vaporescence tank. IMHO you shod really look into getting one of those..
