Has anyone tried ceramic? Does it wick the coil good??? I'm Tired of the burnt wick looking into the ceramic any input would be awesome, thanks
if your talking about porous ceramic then yes, they wick good and taste even better. imo ceramic produces some of the best flavor of any wick. there are some threads here about it. they are however a little tricky to get working just right but when you do, their awesome.

3 different ceramic wick packages were a strike out for my genesis wicking needs. The only ceramic wick setup that worked for me were ones with enough room in the hole to allow full tilt flow through (not what I consider wicking). I consider the positives as very easy to; wrap a coil on, break off to desired length and clean when needed :) On that note, they seemed to need a full out rinse & burn cleaning much sooner than I was willing to deal with. But hey... I had to try them! YMMV

I've been using ceramic wick since April and they wick good, on par with most ss builds imo. You still have to tilt when the tank starts getting low. They are fragile but I've never had one break once installed and you must wrap the coil as tight as possible around the wick(no gaps) for best performance. This is easier for me to do outside the tank before installing and less chance of breaking it that way.

The major pluses are taste, how long they last and ease of cleaning. I've never had one just wear out and they are so easy to clean. For cleaning I just run water through the tank let it drain out around the wick and dry burn, no breaking the build down and rebuilding. I've had one AGT2+ going with the same build since April. I rinse and dry burn when needed and it's like new again every time. I don't ever see having to replace it unless I drop it or something. Cheapest and easiest build I've ever done considering it's been 8 months and still performing like new.
