Hey guys,

Been using an RSST now for about two weeks with a mechanical mod.
Been running ~1ohm coils on it with xc-116 ceramic wick.

I have noticed that i really cant get more than 1 tank out of a coil before i need to torch it off...
Is this normal?
I guess my SS mesh has been doing the same thing, but not nearly as quickly as the Ceramic

If i dont torch it off it ends up filling my new liquid with burnt juice and contaminating the taste.
Everyone raves about ceramic wicks, but i have gotten 10x more enjoyment out of SS mesh, makes me think im doing something wrong.

I also have a really hard time believing the ceramic wick is safe with how much it sheds when you cut it.
I cut it, and next thing i know my fingers are covered in shiny particles of ceramic...

Try running a higher resistance coil. Low Ohms burn hot and a ceramic will hold a lot of heat. You may just be cooking your juice.

I've been using ceramic for months now and while I will eventually start to get some burnt "backwash" into the tank, it generally takes a week or so for this to happen.

As far as ceramics being safe, I'd say they are probably one of the safest things one could use - we've been using ceramic cookware for ages. Saying that you get ceramic particles on your hands when you cut it and it is therefore not safe is like claiming glass isn't safe to drink out of because when it breaks it creates sharp shards of glass.
