Hey guys I got a kraken clone on the way. I got the clone to see if I like it before investing in the authentic cause it's expensive being I've never used a genni before. I currently am set up using an igo-l single coil with ekowool and kanthal ribbon wire. I been researching into fc-2000 ceramic wicks and want to try them in the kraken. My question is, what size are the wick holes and of the two which size ceramic wicks would fit best between 1/8th and 7/64th from kidneypuncher? And which of the two is smaller in diameter? Also any tips on the ceramic wicks would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!

I just looked at my Kraken clone, and assuming the fill hole is the same size as the wicks (I believe it to be), then a 7/64 drill bit won't fit, and a 3/32 fits just about perfect, with just a little bit (pun intended :p ) of wiggle room.

I currently have mine set up and running, and don't really want to re-wick it (it is filled with AiV CLS right now :vapor: ) .5 ohm dual, silica wick cause I cannot for the life of me roll SS mesh tight enough, nor get rid of the dang hot legs the one time I was able to.

Hope that helps.

I've got the Kraken clone and all I use are ceramic wicks. They work great in the Kraken but you're going to have to drill out the hole. The 3/32" fit fine but aren't available anymore, 3/32 is very thin and break easier than the larger sizes anyway. You'll also have to shorten the wick a little but that's easy, wire cutters or a pair of pliers just nipping on the end a little at a time till you get where you want to be.

I drilled my Kraken Clone with a 1/8" bit but kept going back and forth till the bit moved a bit loose inside the hole so it's probably closer to 9/64" now. You want to have a little wiggle room for best wicking. Take note of the center pin insulator, you don't want to get into that but I had enough room with a 1/8" bit.

Ceramic wicks can be a little fussy to get setup and going but after you've got it there is no better or less maintance vape on a genny imo and they last forever if they don't get broke. I've had the same one going in my AGAt2 since April and have never broken one after it's setup, I sacrificed a few of the 3/32" when I first started but once you get the hang of it and are careful during the build you're good to go.

The main thing to remember with ceramic is the coil must be tight around the wick at all points with no gaps for best performance. Once you've got a tight wrap mastered they are good to go and just get better over time as they break in.

It will get better after you've ran a tank or two through it. Also after you've used it a while check the wraps again. After new wire heats up and cools down time after time it can leaved gaps that weren't there or you didn't see during the initial build. If you see any work those out, the wire MUST be tight as possible all the way around or it will be muted.

Once the wire and wick have broke in there shouldn't need to be any more fiddling other than an occasional rinse and dry burn for cleaning.
