I wish..Chai is actually hard because all the spices in chai, all of the flavoring for them is oil based as opposed to being water soluable...

I've been trying to DIY some spiced Chai for a while and just cant get anything really acceptable...

Best I've been able to get is to actually get chai tea...make the entire box..and then try to distil it down to flavor like you would do to make rosewater... and add that to a nic/pg/vg base.... and the flavor has always been really weak

has anyone tried to infuse the flavor from a bag of tea.. I have done this with coffee, have not vaped enough of it to see if it kills the atty. but tasted like a good sweetened coffee..

should be as simple as putting some pg/vg in a microwave safe container with a tea bag submerged heating it and letting it sit..

PERFUMERS APPRENTICE!!! I have been looking for it as well, and just found it! Its just the flavoring, but if you have some unflavored nic juice you can mix up a batch easy.

Perfumers Apprentice - Chai Tea Flavor

the part I find kinda discouraging in that is this:
"This flavor is a basic chai, that could be "tweaked" by adding cardamom,
or clove, more cinnamon or maybe ginger. "

it's the cardamom, clove, ginger that make chai...well....chai....not sure what basic chai would taste like without it or having to "tweak" it as they put it...

However, now rereading it I see this:

"Ingredients: Natural & Artificial Flavors, Propylene Glycol, Alcohol, Cardamom Oil and
other Natural Essential Oils"

So it DOES have Cardamom in there... problem is that it has oils... this stuff can likely kill an atty if it is not cleaned frequently while using this stuff

I use my coffee like this and have yet to kill an atty with it

There has been some debate about whether the tiny amount of oils diluted in PG would have much impact on the atty. I had thought about steeping chai teabags in PG, but wouldn't that be releasing the oils of the spices and have the same effect? It would probably be less oil than using an oil-based flavoring, though.

I don't have any unflavored e-liquid or I'd try to make some!

i was going to post that i would try that this weekend but before i posted i went to check if i still had chai but someone finished it off.. was probably me.. if i get a chance to run to the store i will give it a try..

I still need to use this coffee infused liquid that i have.. if that does not kill the atty then the tea wont.. coffee has a lot more oil to it..

Try it first with regular vg no-nic. My suggestion is to soak it in alcohol and let the alcohol evaporate off. then strain out the solids. Then add to VG.

I have done this with many things where the extracts are normally oil based and have had NO bad atty reactions.

I know I have seen black tea flavor on a few sites (alt smoke, vapor4life, vaporkings) I think if you mixed a black tea base with a little clove, cinnamon, licorice(for the anise flavor) and something creamy like vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream. You could get very close... If you could find nutmeg flavor anywhere you could perfect it.

or...

I received my order from Perfumer's Apprentice yesterday and immediatly mixed up a small batch of the Chai @ ~22% flavoring and the juice was a 66%PG 33%VG mix in the end. I just have to say, WOW! This stuff is absolutly amazing! I vaped a good 2 - 2.5ml of it in about 5 hours, lol! I intentionally did not clean out my atty before bed. I got up this morning and took a few puffs and saw no difference at all in performance. I know thats not much of a test, but we will see over time. Honestly, unless it kills my atty inside the 2 week mark, it is very much worth it! This stuff R O C K S !!

Now one thing I will warn potential buyers about is that the Cardamom comes across very close to Clove in vape, but not that fake Clove juice like REAL clove. If you have drank alot of chai in your time than you will be able to discern it as Cardamom without a problem, but a buddy of mine who has had chai only once or twice thought it was clove. There are very subtle hints of vanilla as well, not creamy vanilla but as vanilla bean shavings taste and again this is very subtle. To get a chai latte vape I would suggest adding a very small amount of vanilla and cream flavors or juices to it. As it is, its like a straight Chai tea. Now the Cardamom does add a fairly significant amount of Throat Hit. I vape @ 10mg and so the TH on my juices are usually not that high, but this stuff @ 10mg felt like 24mg! :D I have not tried a 0 nic version but this is definitely on the horizon!
