Two weeks + analog free and loving it!

Quick question - does this "obsession" w/ vaping subside over time? All I do now is vape. Not such a bad problem to have but am curious why I vape all day at 24 mg. Is there any downside to using a high mg frequently? Did anyone else start this way? Should I cut the mg to 12?

Appreciate any advice.

I am not sure if we normal or not. I am into my 2nd month and still chain vaping. I use 8mg nic around 7-10 ml a day. I have a serious hand to mouth habit with my nicotine habit. Its better than smoking 50 stinkies a day :) I am sure I will subside some, as others have stated. I did at least try a higher mg and less vaping but it did not work as well as chain vaping lower mg.

Many people vape quite continuously. Some even vape 36mg. However, you didn't mention what PV you were using. There are quite a few posts from people who decreased their nic levels once they moved up to a 5 volt or variable volt PV. They got warmer vapor and better throat hit so they were able to easily decrease their nic levels. It worked for me. I would suggest you consider a good 5 volt model like the GLV 2 or a good variable volt model, such as the Darwin.

I find the easiest thing is I leave the ecigs in another room with my Kindle and I go there to vape and read a few pages (fairly frequently), but I do get stretches of 10 to as much as 30 min where I am not vaping. Like now. If I left them sitting next to me like at work, I would be vaping a LOT.

When I have my Nook and reading is when I really chain vape. :)

I am alternating btw eGo 510 and a 1300 mah ego batt w/ 24 mg. Part of the reason that I'm questioning this is that I am on the small side and have read posts from men who have problems w/ 24. Just seems as though I should be vaping less if I am on a higher mg.

Thanks for the advice. Maybe my problem is that I am keeping it too close @ work and at home. Will try that too.

LOL, I hit the 1 month mark yesterday (YAY!!) and while I'm at home- constantvaporclouds!
I've gone down (gradually) from 24 to 6mg, just cause I want to "kick the nic", not because I was worried about OD'ing or anything.
I admit I was having a little trouble sleeping at first, with 24mg. Hot feet, restlessness. It could have been the detoxing, though.
I am chainvaping a lot more, since I lowered my nic, but I don't think it's the lack of nic (I hardly use it at work), I think it's because the flavors are so damn GOOD!!!
I had the caramel yesterday, and I was vaping (at home) like a madman, swapping 14500 batts out of the charger just like when I started on my 510.
Today I have my cheesecake, and while it is good, I've gotten so used to the flavor I can barely taste it after a while. :( Hence, less fog machine syndrome.

I'm so glad you brought this up. I find myself vaping lots more in the evenings at home than I ever smoked. But, that's why I'm keeping with 6mg at home. At work I can't vape at my desk, so I stealth vape in the bathroom just a couple of times a day, so I do the 12mg there. I've ordered some 0 nic for at home in the later evening so I'll be able to sleep.

Hi huffelpuff,
I'm a newb also and I have been doing the exact same thing. The one thing I do have to watch is to take in plenty of water!! I can really suffer if I don't do that and the side effects of dehydration can hit you quickly. I remember reading about that but just ignored it until the symptoms hit me!! I'm kind of "bull headed" sometimes. Taking in lots of good ole water really helps allot.
Congrats on quitting the nasty things!!
