There was a discussion on the VaporTalk Vlog about the fact that you will vape more than you smoked, and the biggest recommendation they gave was to prevent over nic'ing yourself was to cut the nicotine amount down alot, they recommended to use 12mg to 14mg.

That seems to hold true with my experience. I started out with 12mg and was puffing near constantly, so I tried upping it to 24mg. Then, to my surprise, I was still puffing constantly and getting headaches.
18mg is next for me, and I'll see if I can't just reign in my novel new vaping habit a bit.

I pretty much chain vape when I'm home, but find I can go out to a concert or event and be just fine while attending something. I don't really worry about it because even with the amount I vape, I can feel an immense difference in my body - no more smoker's cough, no more wheezing. I used to have a terrible time with coughing and wheezing when I would lay down to go to sleep at night, now that's completely gone.

I believe I read in one of the stickies that if you are vaping close to the same nic level as the cigarettes you smoked, it takes approx. 12 mins of vaping to absorb the same amount of nic as is in one cig. If you were smoking one PAD, that's 4 hours of constant vaping. IMHO you have to chain vape just to get your one PAD in. I would say you best quit worrying about it and start VAPING or you are going to fall behind ...... ;-)~

I chain vape 6mg I tried higher nic but couldnt vape as much so prefer to chain vape a lower nic more often but Im pretty sure i was more addicted to the hand to mouth action than the actual cigs, I was one of the people that found giving up smoking pretty easy when I first started vapeing even after 25yrs of the cigs.

I think the biggest thing that contributes to the impression of chain vaping is the gigantic difference between Vaping and Smoking.

This is also where studies and surveys get it wrong... Vaporizers are simply not used int he same manner as cigarettes.

I don't know any vaper who grabs his PV, Hit's it repeatedly in order to consume as much as possible in 10-15 minutes and then puts it away for an hour or 2...

Most vapers take 2-3 draws... put it away, repeat every few minutes.

On smoke breaks at work i used to blow through 3 cigarettes and sometimes a 4th in 10-15 minutes... I simply chain vape all day... 2-3 drags... wait... repeat.

I bet if we counted the total number of drags/draws... there is very little difference between vaping and smoking... the problem is once you light a cigarette... the clock's running and you have to get what you can out of it before it's "up in smoke"

I;m still new to vaping as well. Heading into my second month of being tobacco free! Yay! I've found that some days are worse than others and I vape like a crazy thing. The next day I only pick it up here and there. The rest of the time it's 2 or 3 puffs and lay it down to do other stuff. I think it'll even out quite nicely in the couple of months or so. I'm vaping 18 strength right now and on those chain vaping days I wish I has something a little stronger for just a hit or two. You might think about getting a couple different strengths for your first couple of months. I'm also feeling better all the time! :) I think I should shop for a small bottle of something yummy in a 24 strength!

will this slow down eventually and does it cause any more harm than normal smoking.

The amount of time may go up or down.. depends on what You want/get out of it and how much you like it.

More harm? Most of us vapers think Not. Less harm, yes, Harmless?? probably not. But it sure beats clogged lungs from tar and a few thousand other chemicals!
