I'm not that concerned about throat hit but I've heard some flavors just naturally deliver more TH. Cinnamon, mints and menthols, (i like wintergreen occasionally) or if you're adventurist... red pepper and wasabi.

I've heard that a lot about menthols. I'll try an 18mg or 12mg menthol and see if I'm getting any TH. With my new flavor (Kona Cream from VR) I haven't had consistent TH on my LR attys. With my menthol, it doesn't matter what I use and I get TH every single hit.

Two weeks + analog free and loving it!

Quick question - does this "obsession" w/ vaping subside over time? All I do now is vape. Not such a bad problem to have but am curious why I vape all day at 24 mg. Is there any downside to using a high mg frequently? Did anyone else start this way? Should I cut the mg to 12?

Appreciate any advice.

I vape 24 and definitely vape less now than when I started. It was pretty non-stop the first month then I tapered down without really trying. You aren't smoking so don't worry about it.

Riddle me this- why do people think it's better to vape non-stop at a low nicotine level than to vape at a higher nicotine level and vape less? Unless you were a chain smoker. It's not like your getting less nicotine and you're going through gallons of juice. I don't get the rational. It would be like people smoking light cigarettes so they could smoke more. I think people are so freaked out about nicotine levels that they turn themselves into chain vapors.

I think most people wouldnt say vaping all day is any better or worse rather its a matter of preference. I agree with why go through more juice. But when you can get 500 ml 24 mg nic for under $30 its no longer an issue. I vape anywhere between 12-24mg. Sometimes all day long, sometimes here and there.

Trust me, if you read this section and some of the responses, nicotine levels are a huge issue for people. So much so that I think new people sometimes order too low a nicotine level because they're told they'll OD so they don't get off cigs. If you chose to vape lower levels so you can chain vape or vape a lot that's fine. But if you're vaping low levels and need to vape a lot because of it, it sort of defeats the purpose.

Yep. In the beginning I worried about everything, obsessed over lowering the nic level. Coming up on 7 months in - not so much. There's no perfect way. There's no perfect juice. I wanted to find THE answer. There isn't one. It's more of a journey than a destination. Some days everything tastes disgusting and the next is rainbows and butterflies - juices are back to delicious. I only smoked outdoors. Getting to vape in the car, house, at work... I vape more often than I smoked.

I was having a rainbow and butterflies day the other day-

I was home alone (doesn't usually happen and loving it ) nice breeze coming in the window, a brand new carto and I just couldn't get over how great my pv tasted. I never enjoyed a cig as much as I enjoyed my pv.

I have had the other days too, but that was a great day. Just me and my ego and some delicious peach juice!

Then I come on here and see so many vets saying, "Don't worry about it."

I decided to take that advice, and now don't worry that if I have a smoke if I feel like it, I'll somehow be disloyal or burn in hell or fall off the wagon and be a dismal failure. I just notice how very crappy they are, how much better this tastes, how much better I feel - and I shine it on.

It's all good.

For many of us who have tried to quit smoking in the past, it had to be all or nothing. We've become conditioned to the idea that even one cigarette means that we've failed in our effort to quit - because that was often true in the case of analogs. It takes some time to wrap one's head around the idea that vaping can work in spite of the occasional smoking lapse because in the end, it just tastes better. Some people quit immediately (I did) and never need another analog. Others need a more staggered approach. This approach rarely works when trying to quit analogs but it CAN work with ecigs. It is obvious from the testimonials here that quitting smoking gradually while vaping works as well in the long term as quitting immediately.

In other words, the game has changed. It doesn't have to be all-or-nothing anymore. In the end, most vapers give up the analogs when they're ready.
