You will love the REO.

That is great that someone hooked you up with their spot for a chalice. If I knew some else was looking they could have my spot as well.
Yeah, got a message from VA and almost had a heart attack. I realized their only method of ID is the email/name though, so it made sense. Called back and I'm pretty sure I won't have any issue, but until it ships I'll definitely be a little nutty

I ordered 200 units

WOW!!!!!!!! That's awesome!

Just got my first Chalice (II)... now I know where to get more. :thumb:

Hope you also plan to carry spare screws for all of them Rob. Mine only came with 2, no spares, and I want spares for it just in case. Mark told me the other day that he will not make anymore until the current Chalice run has waned. Then spares for I, II and maybe III as well will be made.

If you decide to carry the screws, put me on the list for some for the Chalice II. ;)

I bought spares from a reseller Mark sent me a link to. Just remember when they are available, they sell them INDIVIDUALLY not in a set. I ordered Two, thinking two sets and I got TWO screws.

Mark didn't suggest a retailer to me, just told me after the C III sale settles down he will be making more screws for the C I, C II and I assume C III. A very nice man here in Reoland contacted me and sold me an extra-extra set he had, and included a hard case for my C II as a bonus as a surprise. Thanks again. :)

I feel a lot better having a spare set just in case even though I've never lost any small parts. I took extra precautions doing my first build with no spares in hand at the time I can assure you... ;)

Just got my first Chalice iii! I normally vape dual coils and between .4-.5 ohms, so I know I'm going to have to mix it up a bit with this one. Twisted good for this? I was thinking something around .8?

Twisted is cool - you'll just want to use a smaller wire due to the post/capture limitations. 30 or higher (smaller) would be called for.

Anxious to hear the experience of the few of you planning on doing twisted builds. My Chalice should be shipping tomorrow from VapinArt (along with everyone else who got in on the preorder). Don't get how ES was able to beat them by shipping Friday, but my Nuppin v2 will be here tomorrow to keep my very first squonker, LP Grande Silver Vein., company in the meantime.

Although, I definitely chose the color of my REO because I thought the Chalice would look great paired with it, lol

You sure are starting off your squonking with some good gear!
Well, the Chalice is an atty I've adored for a very long time, and I finally decided to take the plunge. I also finally understand the REO love, just never understood it until I pulled it out of the box and marveled at it while holding it in my hand, lol.

Just happened to get lucky that the second run of Nuppins dropped the exact same week as the Chalice and my REO order, or maybe it wasn't luck at all...ooowweeeoooweeeoooohooo (X-Files theme, supposed to be at least).

Next on my list?

Yeah, you guessed right...a Dready door, or perhaps a matching set with the Nuppin AFC

I've done twisted 2 strand 30g TMC on a Chalice III. Works a charm.

I find the draw just a tad restrictive for a full, deep DL inhale - this thing is really a flavour junky's MTL atty - but it has no prob keeping up with the single coil with the afc wide open.

Watch for leg tails touching the cap and I'd keep your coil ID down, too (I run 1/16") - the space inside the cap is limited. If ever there was an atty that you needed to check resistance on with the cap/dt in place before vaping, this would be it.

ETA: and just how does a NoCal dude get away with a Packers avi?

I was converted by my Mom's friend's husband who was from Wisconsin, around the time I started walking. He'd always bring me back Packers gear on his visits back home. I think one of my happiest days as a kid was when I finally got my own cheesehead, it was a truly special occasion

I second Papa on this....dropped my first spring because I was negligent before sticking on a REO and mashing the button. The very tip of the wire was touching the cap and down she went. Try and capture the wire on the inside of the post if you can.
