Mr. Sheikh can say Anything he wants.

But I wouldn't give Varenicline to Death Row inmates in Prison.

I knew someone that was given Chantix. Although she didn't jump out of a Window to try to Kill herself, I think the fact that she lived on the Ground Floor played a Huge Role in her not.

In 2014 Pfizer, maker of Chantix, settled a class action law suit. Why, if this study is true? Why does the FDA require the "black box" warning on the packaging?

This was a 6 month study......"We don't know long term.", says everyone about ecigs.

Without looking for the appropriate links, pretty sure they attempted to remove the warnings (or did) and then put them back.

Seems to me that anyone who would take Chantix is just looking for a good excuse to go ahead and off themselves.

At this point, yes - if they read.... but prior to that, not so much. I've had more than a few friends try it without any intent to die, but wanted to or came close after doing the drug. They wanted to get off cigs and are now vaping happily.

They did try and the FDA were going to remove it until "consumer watchdogs", i.e. sane people, made a big deal and got it stopped.

I think it's the same mindset that assumes that because something is a prescription drug, it's not dangerous, they can't be addicted. Never grasping the fact that ONLY the non-dangerous stuff is available without a prescription! If it wasn't dangerous, you could buy it OTC -- like the Dramamine I take to help me sleep -- far better than any prescription sleep aid, because there's no "hangover" or any other weird barbiturate behavior.

I wouldn't waste my money on meclazine, since I'm taking dimendrinate to help me sleep. It's an antihistamine, and I've taken it daily for about 35 yrs now, usually 2-3, sometimes 3.5 pills, every night.

That's kinda why I posted it. So people know that One is a Non-Drowsy formula.

I've never heard that about about Dramamine. I'll have to look into it. I have terrible sleep problems.

I prefer it (dimenhydrinate) over the "sominex/benadryl" (diphenhydramine) because dimenhydrinate actually makes your eyelids heavy; the sominex type just puts you in a fog, but not sleepy at all, and it causes a considerable "fog" the next day -- dramamine doesn't.

But the key is, it should actually be "time for bed" -- you're fatigued from a whole day awake, even if you don't "feel" it. If you take it when it's not really time to go to bed, it really doesn't do much; very slight drowsiness maybe, but not overwhelming. But if it's actually bedtime and you don't really feel like sleeping, dramamine is a godsend, for those heavy eyelids.
