Hi guys im fairly new to vaping and was wondering if you guys change your coils when you change your juices? Do you vape the same juice all the time? I tend to switch them up after every other tank or so. I don't find a problem the new flavor kicks in usually after five puffs or so. Just this last tank I used a desert flavor and found it lingered around for a bit. Any advice would be great :)

I can only answer for myself.

When I first got this KangerTech atomizer, I have the subtank Plus; I got it around Christmastime and when I first got it, the first coil that came with it, I put it in there and I used it for a while and I because I wanted to try rolling my own, I took the old one out and rolled my own.

I went through a few of those, I kept having problems with it burning the cotton which I think was because the coil was too small in the diameter. but, finally I was able to roll a coil with a bigger diameter, that would still fit on the atomizer deck and not touch the sides of the top or anything and I've been using it pretty regularly and I haven't changed it out and it's been probably a month or so.

I change the cotton out every other tank full, because usually by then, it starts to taste in a little funny. I guess I should mention that the tank on my atomizer is 7 milliliters big and that's a lot of vaping liquid for a tank. so, that's why I have to replace the cotton after every other tank full.

so, that's what I do here. [emoji5]

I guess I should also mention that I use Mountain Dew flavoring, 2.4 MGS on the nicotine level and I also use maximum vegetable glycerin or Max VG for mine, which is more for flavor and smoke then it is for throat hit. what I prefer.

I also should mention and I feel it's only fair, that I get all of my stuff from Kalamazoo vape shop here in Lincoln Park, Michigan; near Detroit.

anybody that's from the Detroit area, that's the best place to go, they have good prices and good people, they even have a shop where you can sit and test the product and sit around and drink coffee and really an awesome thing. stop by there, you'll love it.

Before anybody asks, no they don't pay me to endorse them, they couldn't pay me enough and I wouldn't take the money anyway.... I just know who does me right and so far, they've done me very well. [emoji3]

Change your coil when it tastes off.

I rebuild on RTAs. My coils generally last three months. I rewick every few days

This ^^ sums it up nicely.

Be conservative with disposable coils as it can get really pricey if you change them needlessly.

Be liberal with your cotton when using a rba. Cotton can last you months or years depending on what type and a amount you purchase. Change your coil if it's burning your cotton, stops firing, shorts or you just need practice recoiling. :)

I run multiple tanks, so rarely have that "problem". But when I do change a flavor in a tank, I only change coils if it has been in there for several weeks or a month+. Yes, I keep track of coil insertion dates.
Damn how do coils last that long I get five days or so out of mine?

Change the cotton we mean

You will catch on

Good luck and happy vaping
Can you rewick store bought coils? Or they have to be built ? For example I bought .5 coils for my crown tank would I be able to rewick those? Also as far as replacing the cotton is it just normal cotton you place in there?

Some people do but there super builders with lots of patience I wouldn't recommend
Thanks! So is it normal that store bought cooils only last 5 days or so? Everyone is saying they are using their coils for months?! Im running crown uwell tank with .5 coil currently. had the .25 coil in it and that lasted like maybe 16-20 ml worth of liquid. So about 3-4 days.

Sorry! Don't want to mislead or confuse you. The operative in my statement is "multiple tanks", meaning I rotate about 10 tanks for my vaping preference. So 10 tanks with a coil lasting 30 days would have me using and changing 10 coils a month or a single coil every 3 days. But adding into the equation a couple or 3 tanks with flavors I may only use 2 or 3 times a week and some days I skip a flavor or two, that would bring my average up some closer to your changing a coil every 5 or so days.

I figure 6 or so coils a month is within my affordability range, but am thinking a bit more about building coils.
