I haven't used those pvs but have been dripping for a month or so in 510 and eGo, you want to be sure not to flood your atty, so drip about 3 drips then vape until you get kind of a burnt taste or lose the flavor of your juice then add 2 or 3 drips, if you get a gurgling then you have added too much, you can usually vape through it til it vapes good again if not, take the atty out and blow it out, but if you stick to 2 or 3 drips you should be fine. It takes a little practice but is easy once you get the hang of it. I usually fill a small 3 ml bottle of whatever juice I want for the day and I am good to go.

You'll love moving up to a mod. Bit of warning though lol, your search for the perfect one will start after you get your first one! The ones you are looking at are great from what I hear. You'll figure out when you need to drip fairly quick. You'll start to get a dry taste in your vape, and you want to avoid the burnt taste if at all possible, as it may stick around in your atty for a bit. So just like the above post says, just add a few drops when the taste changes, and you'll be good to go! Good luck!

I would have to recommend a LR 306 atty. They have the same threading as the 510 but seem to last longer, have great vapor production and flavor. I've been using two of them for a little over a month and they are still going strong. You'll need to get a drip tip though. Vapor flow has a deal where you can get 2 LR 306's and a drip tip for $20. I haven't ordered from them before but I've heard good things and plan on getting some from them soon.

As far as how much and how often to drip, it kinda depends on the atty. With the LR 306's I have, I use about 4 drops at a time and it lasts me about 5 minutes of vaping, sometimes less. It really depends on how you vape and what atty you choose. I drip when I notice a difference in flavor. Dripping takes some getting use to, so don't stress out if you don't figure it all out right away.

I have to say after owning a drip tip for about 5 months and trying 3-4 times I HAD given up on dripping. I figured I would be a carto guy for life.
BUT... I was on vacation last week and broke (sitting home in other words) an I really gave dripping the effort it deserves.

Wow, I don't think their is any going back once you get dripping down. I only own 2 attys, both standard 510s that came with my ego kits.
I am going to be ordering a bunch more this morning. I am all paranoid now that I might kill them and be stuck with cartos again :-(

Anyway with my standard 501 attys I go with 3 drips to start the day (with clean dry atty) and 2 drops at a time after that. Two drops gives me 3-5 good toots, then let cool a minute and two more drops.
The flavor and vapor production is way better with dripping. I wish I had stuck with it much sooner, I would have been happier and I would have more money in the bank.

I will still use cartos when I am out and about, but they are going to be disappointing to say the least compared to dripping.

Any way good luck and stick with it till you have it mastered, you won't regret it.

Off to purchase some LR 510' and some 306's with a tip. I wonder if I will notice much difference between the two?

I know 2 people who have a V3 and love it, although have said at times it performs a little too well.

If you get a high voltage device (V3) don't use LR atty, you will fry it. I have the Icon (3.7 volt device) from PureSmoker and could not be happier. The 2 LR attys I have found to be the best are the LR 510 from ELiquidPlanet.com, and believe it or not EastMall ( to be fair I've only tried 2 of theirs because they have lasted so long). As previously mentioned while dripping, only drip 3 drops, maaaaybe 4 but that's it. That should last you about 5-8 healthy draws. I started with carts (as most I imagine) and found that I have to drip no more often than 'topping off' a cart. I say topping off because while a cart may hold more juice, it has been my experience that the majority of it hides in the tip anyway, and is never used.

Not sure if you are open to the 3.7 volt thing, but I have found a 3.7 device, and LR atty is the best balance. Dripping in my opinion is much, much better than a cart. Good luck and I hope some of what I said helps.

Oh yeh, if you decide to drip, do yourself a favor and spend a few extra bucks on a decent tip, preferably wide mouth. A finally broke down and spent the extra 2 whole bucks on a wide mouth delrin from Super T Manufacturing, and it is soooo worth it.

Been vaping over a year and tried everything. I finally tried dripping about a month ago and won't go back!! However, I think it's all in the tip that you buy. I tried the wide mouths, though they are easier to drip into, I felt like I got more air, less vape. I now use a shorty and it's awesome with a LR atty on my 3.7 volt Little Chuck. The only downfall is when I drive, I add a full carto, then put a wide mouth on it to drip into , it's too dangerous to drip into a shorty while driving.

Analog free since 07/09/09

I decided to go with the icon, with the 510 LR atty. Now I am searching for some drip tips.
