Hmmm. this is more of a bump than an answer....LK said something about getting rid of the filter. I don't know why they did...but it came up (i think) in the PB beta test thread when people were talking about taking the extra rings and filter out when they refilled. Do the cartos work any differently ?

The reason behind it is this: We have felt that the filter piece might be causing more issues than it was supposed to solve...simply put...it would get soaked by saliva or liquid and be much closer to the person inhaling...this would increase the chance of a newbie who is sucking too hard getting some extra liquid/saliva coming out...and it would also affect the "draw" as well....passing through a wet filter is much harder for the vapor to do than a dry filter...and since we can't stop the filter form getting wet...we thought we would eliminate it all together...so far the reports of the new configuration have been very positive...as for the cap...we just wanted to make sure it was on tightly to prevent any accidents in the future...the more newbies that use the product the more we have to think of scenarios in which they might run into problems...hope this helps...Cheers!!

My latest ones had that hard cap too. It clanks against my front teeth. I got used to the gentle soft rubber feel and I miss it.

After I finished the cart and went to refill, I had to really dig at the cap to remove it and ended up bending both (permanently) the cap and the cart holding it (the metal hendu). Now the white cap has little shards of hard plastic that stick up. I'm going to see if the soft VK cap fits ............ and it does! Happy days.

I use the condom (cap over the breathing end) method for refilling, so the tight cap is fine/GOOD, tbh on my other model with the rubber one, it moves around too much, especially sliding inside the tube leavinng me with a sharp uncomfortable edge. I did experience the draw issue with the extra filter (but I just poked it aside).

BTW the Hendu cartos are my absolute favorite; I really get bugged by stickers on my carto, sometimes too long, and my princess lips cant stand the edge of the sticker lengthwise either so I always keep turning the thing to avoid the ridge =P

Thanks for that spacekitty. You noticed in a RARE instance of self control I tried to stay out of this one hoping that Andre might come back and give some useful details. BTW...I DID send a nice PM offering to help with any issues and asking for said details since we are always interested in ways to improve our product. And I DIDN"T even give a lecture about posting in the supplier forum......but alas...it seems that some folks just want to complain.

I DO want to take this opportunity to thank ALL of our loyal ECF customers for your support and honest feedback. We know we are not perfect. We are also not nearly as "old" as some other companies. So having people stick by us while we grow to our potential is really important. We are well aware that ECF only makes up a fraction of a percent of our sales......but money isnt everything. So in all sincerity...thank you everyone!!!!!

Oooops!! My bad... I get so carried away sometimes that I forget where I am... Thanks for cutting me some slack!!

Personally, I don't care if they're hard or soft (ha!!), I just wish that the ends matched the color of the cartos so they don't stand out so much... or maybe even clear ones?? Oh well...

omg!!! only you would think of something like that!!! would you like me to run a cost analysis by the manufactering dept and see how much we would have to raise the price of cartos to do that? RFLMAO!!!

however....my thank you was genuine...for a change. I was wondering when someone would answer that one......
