Changed my coil and now burning my throat with every hit

To prime a new evod head put a drop of two down the center tube of the head, then put a drop of two on each exposed part of the wick. Then install head into base, fill tank, let sit for a few minutes, then take several primer puffs ( inhales without pressing fire button). You should get a slight hint of the flavor even without pressing the fire button.
The resistance should've printed on the head in small numbers.

Toss the coil in there now, grab the new coil and do this. Most likely all your woes will be behind you.

I put in the last coil I had, did some dry hits...has been sitting 4 minutes....hitting. better and no painful throat hits....but not seeming to get the flavor...might just need to get the nasty burnt taste outta my mouth first lol. Thanks all!

I am new to vaping...I have the KangerTech Evod, using 50/50 12 mg "Unicorn Poop" flavor from The Vapor Chef (I am waiting for my 50/50 6 mg flavors from Vista Vapor to arrive, as well as a variable voltage mod and pro tank 3). I changed my coil last night because I was getting very little vapor clouds and the taste was terrible, but now, unless I hold the vapor in my mouth a few secs before inhaling, it is burning my throat worse than anything I have ever felt...help!!!

Your coil has too small occ. 0.5 not good. 1.2 and 1.8. Go for this

I think you either burnt the coil with the first fire, through not priming it, or you have a bad coil, far below the stated resistance.
