Changed the wick on my Russian today, low vapor now

Hi, I changed the cotton wick on my Russian today due to taste dropoff however when I did so my vapor production dropped to like half. Whats the deal? Did I put in less cotton in this time? I did try burn and got all the gunk off, coil looks brand new. Do I have to break in the cotton or coil again?

If the cotton slides through the coil easily when wet then you need more cotton to absorb your juice. If the cotton is too thick it will choke off your juice giving you less vapor and will burn the cotton faster.
