Was burning out 4-hole pen atomizers every few days ! 8-o

It was suggested to try & switch back to 2-hole and seems to work out better as on my 3rd week.must be the resistance that helps? especially when taking long hard draws..

But I only have 4 hole Atomizers left and wondering how to cover 2 of the holes (DSE801 - you can see them real well ) & (RN4072 no clue where they are ) -
Tried scotch tape on the DSE801 holes inside but that doesn'[t adhere well to metal and slips off when screw in battery anyways..Can anyone help in how to convert the 4-hole to a 2-hole, if that's possible?
Thanks for any suggestions!

Could you break off the end of a cocktail stick in the hole maybe?
Kate! love it when you reply..always original ideas:thumb:

You're right..something to "plug into it rather than cover..

Off into my cupboard to find something similar otherwise off to the store in the morning..

The four holes on the RN4072 are located just where the plastic lip meets the battery connecter theading. If you use a magnifying glass you will see them at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock position. As for blocking the holes, not a good idea as it will only burn hotter. The RN's burn hotter then the 801 and your failure rate is due in part more then likely to not waiting long enough before drags. Try to keep the atomizer cool to touch. Also these are easy to flood so if you thing they are dead--try Jaxx's new teq. with the pin. I "fixed" 4 of them today using his method--good luck and happy vaping:)

Thanks Sun for the great suggestions - appreciated!
Still wondering why the 2 holes are lasting longer than the 4holes though..

Also I tried the Jaxx pin method - got it working but got overly enthusiastic to try again & did it too forcefully as the whole atomizer lifted up the tube & kaput!
Did you feel the pin go through or were you just pushing it around?

Misty--when you use the "Jaaxx Method", you should be able to feel it the pin trying to make its way though an already made path--not a forceful feeling, but feeling like it is working its way though a pre-existing path that has been slightly obscured. Once the eye of the needle has gone though you should feel no pressure at all--that is why Jaaxx warns not to hit the coil. As for the 2 holes not dying as much, you get a much better hit with the 4 hole and the burn rate of the e-liquid is more rapid so there is more of an accumulation of residue building up. Be sure to blow them out at night though the battery hole and leave upside down to drain. As for boiling them--just look at Jaaxx'x pictures of the wires and the contact points. They can not take that kind of abuse IMO--but others swear by it. These atomizers, just like a light bulb could be built to last a lot longer by having a thicker coil and wires and also built so one with a hinge on the bridge so you could pull the coil out and replace with a new one--but I guess they want them to be "disposable"--Hope that helps you and Happy Vaping:)
