Hi all,
I just noticed something weird and was curious if anyone else has experienced it. All day yesterday I was vaping a Kanger EVOD on my V3. Typically when I refill the clearo and reattach it to the mod I press and hold the right button to check the resistance, just to make sure that it is connected properly before I vape it. The clearo head that I have installed is rated by Kanger to be 2.0 ohms.
Anyway, at my first refill I checked the resistance of the EVOD and the VAMO displayed a measurement of 2.0 ohms. Later in the day I removed the clearo and refilled it, then reattached it to the mod. When I checked the resistance after that refill, the same clearo was measuring out at 1.9 ohms. I didn't really worry about it, thinking that it was possible that the coil was actually measuring out at 1.99 ohms or something similar, meaning that the resistance dropped only very slightly, or that the EVOD was tightened to a slightly different degree on the VAMO. Then last night I refilled the EVOD before bed and when I reattached it I got a reading of 2.1 ohms.
So I got curious, and started to detach and reattach the EVOD, checking each time for a different reading from the ohmmeter. After five or six attempts it continued to read at 2.1 ohms. I then decided to remove the EVOD and clean the threads on the clearo, and the EGO threads and 510 connection on the VAMO. After reattaching the clearo it measured out to 1.9 ohms again. So I went on vaping until my battery died, and swapped it out with a freshly charged one. After powering the VAMO back up the resistance of the coil was displayed as 2.0 ohms again; the ohmmeter altered it's reading after simply changing the battery and not touching the attached clearo.
Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to try to recreate the issue exactly. Are any other users experiencing this, and is this anything to be concerned about? I should add that the entire time this was occurring I was vaping the EVOD at the same wattage and noticed absolutely no change in V, T, or F.
Thanks in advance everyone. Happy vaping.
