Charge status poor

I bought 8 Samsung 20s batteries from imr batteries.com and charged up four of them this morning on a nite core ums4 charger. The whole time they were charging the charge status said poor. I don't have the paperwork that came with my charger anymore can anyone tell me what this issue means?

Got to wondering what was up with this so I did a little Googling.

The charger manual in PDF format is here.

From that, the 'charge status: poor' message means the battery internal resistance is over 250 milliohms. This means the battery should probably be replaced ... if the IR reading is correct. Lots of cheap analyzers/chargers do a bad job of measuring battery IR. I don't know how good yours is. If the IR is really high your battery will not have much run time on a charge compared to when it was new.

FWIW, I trust IMR batteries.com to sell authentic, good batteries.

I've never had an issue with IMR Batteries cells. They are stored and shipped with a storage charge that will be somewhere around 3.5v and that's normal. Proper storage extends life while they sit on the shelf awaiting shipment. Try another charger.
