Charger, or Battery? (Ego)

Hi all,

I have a backup Ego kit that I got from Hong Kong, and it doesn't seem to be fully working. I'm hoping someone can help diagnose it.

When I put them into the included charger, they flash green and red, or just stay green, even if the battery is fully discharged. The battery is blinking when I screw it in. So no charge or a 5 min charge that way.

Using my KGO charger works a little better, but if I jostle it even a microscopic amount, the light goes from red to green.

I'm feeling lucky this is just a backup kit -- I can't get any consistent charge into it.

Could it be the threads? The battery contacts?

I tried everything and no luck -- these appear to be bad batteries.

Unfortunately I bought this before I came to ECF (it got relegated to a backup to my backup) so I didn't use a known supplier. Probably just my loss, eh?

Take a paper clip and GENTLY pull up on the center post of the battery froma couple of angles. See if that helps.

To my knowledge, battery should not be blinking when you screw it in.

if multiple batteries do the same thing, I would suspect the charger.

Did this and it's now happily charging in a different charger. I tried putting back into the suspect charger and the post got pushed back down, so that charger's got to be bad.
