I noticed that whenever I charge one of my batteries the light on the charger turns red, but when I charge the other one the red light flickers. Does anyone know why it is doing that, or if it is affecting the battery?
It may just be in my head, but the one that turns red does seem to out perform the one that is flashing.

The LED in the charger is a "BI" colored LED as the current draw decreases the battery goes from green to red - It kinda flickers or turns a funky orange color thru the whole process -
Are you completely discharging the battery that is flickering before it goes to the charger? If not it will flicker because it is not needing the full current as with a completely discharged battery.

I don't put it on the charger until it's completely dead, and it happens everytime. It doesn't seem to be a problem really, but weird nonetheless.
Might be a problem with the computer chip or a component in the battery giving you a FALSE reading that the battery is dead - You may want to return it - or vape through the low battery warning until it wont flash any more and then charge it. Is it giving you the same amount of vaping time as the other - If so you may not have anything to worry about.

I am using a Super-Mini and the battery screws into the charger. Presuming yours works in the same way simply try not screwing the battery into the charger too tight.

I have the standard 2 batteries with mine, and one of them charges fine no matter how hard I screw it in to the charger. Solid red light and then to green at the end.

With my second battery if I screw it in tightly I get the same flickering light you mention, and it goes to green far too quickly to be fully charged. I found that by simply not screwing it all the way in, and leaving half a turn or so from being tight, I get a standard solid red light and the battery charges fine every time. Try that, it may help :)

I bought my 901 from puresmoker and there he has an instructional video on what to do when you get your first kit. In the video he said that there are issues with the lights on the chargers and they can't be relied on. He says no matter what lights you see on the charger, the initial charge should be no less than eight hours, and every charge after that should be no less then four. That's what ive been going by and it's worked fine for me :) hope that helps

Just got my 901 from puresmoker today. I plugged in the battery charger but the light is not lighting up – no red or green light, no flashing or nothing, so I expect its defective? I've sent Steve an email, hopefully he will respond soon.

Possibly it's just defective. Although... sometimes the problem is that the plug isn't pushed in far enough on the charger which causes it to receive no power. So make sure it isn't that before returning it.

I just purchased a smokeanywhere cigarette and usb charger, from a kiosk in Vegas. When I plugged it into the computer for the first charge, the light on the charger was blue. It stayed blue 99 % of the time, and flashes a quick red, once in a blue moon. Is it not working properly, or is it defective? Please help because I haven't even used it yet, and I sooooo want to!!

I have a similar a Generic USB 901 Charging Cable, It Does The Same thing as yours & works fine.

It may just be fine but You really have not provided enough information for a full / correct diagnosis. It may or may not be defective.

You said you did not try it yet, but you did a first charge? so take it off the charger & disconnect the charger from the USB port if you have not done so.

Read your manual & start vapin! Nothing to be scared off!

Here are somethings we need to know to figure it out:

1) Did you disconnect it from the cable & charger and try vaping? (sorry I guess u did a 1st charge? How Long? if longer then an hour or So Start Vaping)
2) If it did vape for how long (time)? (well start now & see)
3) Did your Battery LED Flash at all anytime it was off the charger & you were vaping? (try now & see, then keep an eye on it until u vaped it dead)
4) How long in time was in plugged into the USB charger of your computer?
5) What did your instruction manual state?
6) Are you plugging your USB charger into a laptop or computer (I know you said computer)?
7) Do you have any computer problems or other devices plugged into your USB Ports?
8) If the battery is not charge cuz u can't vape, then let it charge for an hour or so.
9) Please read your instruction manual

This is just a short fast list to help you get some straight answers back & you can get some answers back instead of guess's. I know everybody is trying to help you!

If you do not want to go through this and the Kiosk is Local, Just Go Back to Them.

Hope This Helps.

Thanks CellMeister,
I charged it overnight, and then started to use it. After using it twice (about as long as two regular cigs), the red end of the LED started flasing, about 8 times and then, it would stay on about 3 or 4 seconds and die out. So I put it back on the charger for at least an hour, and it would work again. But not for long! Only about 2 normal cigarette's worth and then do it all over again. I have read to the manual 100 times, and it says that it lasts a whole day's worth. Mine certainly is not. Maybe last 2 cig's worth if that!
I tried emailing the company to no avail. We are not local to Vegas, actually in Canada.

I am plugging it into a desktop computer, with no other USB devices in it.

I hope I am answering the questions properly, but I think it just is dying way to fast. I def. couldn't use it all day, and it seems very high maintenance, just wondering if that is usual or not?

Snippity, did it come with a wall charger? Try that if it did. If not I'd leave it charging on the USB charger for at least 12 hours. I would think the light should be red when its charging. Try jiggling the connector where it plugs into the computer and see if you can get the light to stay red. Maybe a bad connector. What kiosk here did you buy it at? I'd like to go there and see what kind of sales pitch they give for that brand.

OK,

I am assuming your computer was turned on when you were charging?

Does The Box It Came In Have Any Branding or Name on It?

What was the Name of The Kiosk?

How Many Batteries Do You Have?

If More Then One Battery, Did You Try Both?

Does the Charger Unit itself have a LED color light?

What color when 1st put in?

-> Do Not Jiggle Or Wiggle Anything But Your Body or Someone Else's Body!

What color if any was the charger unit LED when u took it out?

Try this: Go plug the USB charger Cord into your computer (turned on) without the battery in, if its already plugged in unplug it for a minute, . Now still without the battery in the USB Charger did or was there a LED light on the USB charger? If so what color? Go to next step below.

Now Put your E-Cig Battery into the USB Charging Connection that was already plugged in the computer. Did the Battery LED Flash? If so Color & Times & how long before it stopped?

-> Do Not Leave Your Battery In The Charger Unattended (yes baby sit it for safety for now)

What Specifically are the Charging Instructions (you read 100 times)?

FYI:

- Nothing Last All Day, Its Marketing Crap

- All Charger LED Indicator Lights & E-Cig Battery Indicators are not the same. For Example, some instructions will say when the LED turns green it is charged, others may say when it turns green leave it plugged in for xxx time etc. Frequently the charger manufacturers use cheaper components inside the charger, so charge indication by LED is Not An Indicator Of The Actual Status. Then some protected batteries have a chip that "speak to the charger", the charger will then adjust as necessary, in theory, and in practice, but then again you what happens is they decide to cut costs the manufacturer (s) may use cheaper components, again screwing the consumer, same as battery cell materials (not all the same or what they were suppose to be specd at).

- If you followed the charging / and other instructions and followed them through, your batteries and/or charger are defective with no fix, you may need new batteries & or charger as well.

- What to do now if the batteries are defective or you can't Vape with it?

-> If you Paid via credit card & not cash, you should be able to get the companies phone number of your cc billing statement, u can probably call your cc company now to get it. If you get the phone number, then you will have to get a hold of them & explain to them.

-> If you can't get a phone or a response back from them and you paid via credit card, you can call your credit card company to dispute the charges, so you may have some luck with that, refund wise or the company may call you.

-> If you paid by cash and can not get back to the Kiosk, I am sorry, but you are probably out of luck with no contact information / receipt.

-> If you can figure out what brand & model # you have, you may be able to buy some batteries for it, I don't suggest it though since your having enough issues.

-> Lastly, Check the forum for the good rated vendors, then purchase a new kit from them. But please do not mix and / or mix your new e-cig accessories with your new one, especially batteries & charges.

This is just my opinion & suggestions. Please follow the owners manual for all instructions.

Good Luck!

Hi Guys,

Well I like to think I'm quite computer literate, I have checked and rechecked the basic's 100 times. I'm thinking its something more mechanical, related to the electronic cigarette, I'm not doing. So I'm going to read more on here , and hopefully can find something! But thanks so much for the suggestions, and I will defintely, check for more info. on here like you suggested.

I only got a USB charger and little info with it. I purchased it from the kiosk at the outlet mall at the South end of the Strip. I got the kit with only one battery, now I'm wishing I would have got two!!

I finally got it to charge, but it won't hold a charge for more than about two normal cigarette's. I will be vaping, and the end blinks about 7 or 8 times, and it stop's vaping. Then I set it down, try again later, and vape a few puffs, it does it again. That seems to be about all I can do then I have to charge it.

The manual I got with it is pathetic. It's a "Smoking Everywhere" brand. It is a manual of extremely limited info. It doesn't give reasons for the blinking LED's only says that:

" After installing new cartridge and battery correctly, the electronic cigarette entered its standby status and smoking action can be simulated through sucking the inhaler. Old cartridge will have to be replaced by a new one if smoke is reduced. When the power of the dedicated lithium battery is used up, the indicator in front of the cigarette body will flash continuously and this means that new didicated lithium batter assembly will have to be used."

That's it!! The manual is awful, spelling errors, and very vague information. No other blinking LED information. I just charged it, replaced the cartridge, and had a few puffs, the light started blinking and it stopped vaping. So according to the manual it already needs a new cartridge or charging.

I'm finding this extremely frustrating. I have watched the videos on this site, and tried dropping a drop of water in the inhaler, that helped for two puffs. I drained the atomizer and blew it out also. Maybe I just got screwed. Not sure, but would appreciate any tips, or advice on reputable brands I could purchase.

If you go there, let me know what you think, and if you get a model #.

You may find it interesting to see what they have to say!

Thanks so Much!!

I actually have the same e-cig. I got it before I found this site and it is at the bottom of the quality list. Mine works ok but I don't have a USB charger, I have a wall charger. On yours it's definately a problem with either the charger or the battery. If you go to puresmoker.com they have a model called the PeeWee. It uses the same battery that the Smoking Everywhere uses and you can buy a battery and charger only if you want. I would recommend getting a DSE901 from them. It's far superior and they are a great company to deal with.
