Hello, I had a question about charging a vape. Im a newbie and was wondering if when you charge a vape, does it also charge the battery in the vape or just the vape? PLease answer. Thanks
I believe he is referring to a mod with a battery and on board charger and it is a very good question. Everyone will say take the batt out and charge separately. There have been mods in the past that have had major issues of not charging right or overheating if charged by usb with batts in. If you have a device that has one battery and is good quality you can use the usb charger. If it's a 2 battery mod, think twice because they don't all charge the batteries evenly which stresses them out. A separate charger and a couple extra batteries is generally a good investment though.

Ok thanks for all your answers! I feel the love of you guys:hubba: Here comes another question and this time it isn't dumb. Me and a friend were looking into some vapes. And which one is better A Eleaf IStick Pico 75 W Kit or a Kangertech Mini Subox Full Kit? Which one is more reliable and is less of a pain in the ... to fix, vape, fill, and etc. Please keep sending me your opinions I enjoy laughing and reading every one of them Thanks:)

HaHa man no worries. I wasn't sure if you were joking or not but I think I understood what you meant. As a beginner (I don't like calling people noobs) you are expected to have loads of questions and you will find many cool people on this site willing to help.

Welcome to ECF!

Both of those would be about the same IMO. Both are good little units. I cannot get through a day on one battery though so I would look at a device with two 18650 batteries instead of one.

FYI - can't speak on the Kanger, but I have 2 Picos (kinda by mistake - long story). I get through the day just fine with a single full battery (currently using LG HG2s). Of course, I'm switching off with my Swag. Also, I'm using 0.4 ohm coils in a Cleito most of the time around 55-65 watts or so. If you're vaping at higher wattages, that might make things different. I always have a couple extra charged batteries anyway.

Welcome! ...The vape is just a small computer that heats up your juice. Kind of like a laptop, the battery is the thing you charge, you don't charge the mobo or the case. ;)
(It might seem like you're charging the device if you happen to have one with an internal battery you can't remove, but it's really just the battery. Of course you can sometimes charge the battery while it's in the device, but it's generally not advised to do that all the time. Not good for the longevity of your batter(ies). Cheers!):D

I can get by with just one battery a day (Samsung 30Q 3000mah or LG HG2 3000mah), but if I am out-and-about I always carry a spare charged battery in a plastic travel case just in case I need it.

You don't want a naked battery in a pocket, purse, or carrying bag. If the positive end of the battery comes into contact with keys, coins, or anything metalic it could cause the battery to get extremely hot, venting hot gas, or rarely, explode.

I don't have personal experience with either of the two mods you asked about, but it seems the Pico is more popular on ECF.

If you are intending to charge the batteries inside the mod like your first post indicated, I would get the Pico For sure. And keep an eye on it while it is.
