I have the nitecore i2 charger, and it usually takes about 3-5 hours for my batteries to charge from about 3.6v

This. I usually let my batteries get down to about half-life, a quarter left at most and on average it's about 4 hours. I have four batteries though so I don't really stress the down time between charges :)

My I4 says - .75A with 1-2 batteries, .375A with 3-4 batteries. I'd suspect the same from the D4 but ..........

The Ds do .5A or .350A, I believe. I have a D2 myself, but it decided to stop fully charging batteries after like 2 months of use so I just use it for my rechargable AAs now.

I ended up getting the D4 and like 8 sony VTC , I can see the large screen really being helpful... I defy need to learn more abt battery safety, I thought I knew enough but I guess better safe tha..sorry .. I really just haven't found one place where I can get reliable, reputable info about vaping especially pertaining towards safety ...

I really hope that rAdio shack return the charger with the batteries, I didn't use the batteries just the Charger and I still have all the packaging .
I thought all 18650 chargers were good to charge the batteries. Especially since most people put emphasis on the batteries

Nitecore chargers are intelligent chargers. They stop charging automatically when the batteries are fully charged. I have the UM20 due to the portability of it. I find that a fully depleted batteries will charge within 4-5 hours so, I put my batteries in the charger when I go to bed and they are 100% when I wake up.
I use Efest 35A 2500MaH LI-MN hi drain batteries. Word to the wise though, don't use an Apple usb plug adapter. They get incredibly hot when used with the Nitecore chargers.
I recommend using a computer usb port.

Other than the obvious 2bay, 4bay, the I2 has leds to indicate charge status while the D4 has a digital display. Other than that the cost.
Unless you get an older I2 or i4. Then the plastic slider grooves that bind.

Also the 2 bay nitecores charge at .5A for a total of 1A.

The 4 bays charge @ .75A for up to 2 bays or .375A for up to 4 for a total of 1.5A.

I recommend NOT using a PC usb port. In the event of failure, you could potentially lose a perfectly good computer.

You need to match the wall wart(what the usb plugs into) voltage output to the acceptable voltage input of the charger.

Also, charging batteries while you sleep is NOT recommended. If you do, make sure your smoke alarms have working batteries as well. Chargers don't fail very often, but they can fail, and then you have heat and electricity.

A quick and easy fix for the 'binding slides' is to lube them with a little vaseline. A q-tip, little vaseline ends the problem.

I'd rather use dielectric grease (silicone).

Also worth notable mention, the QC on the housings are poor. Greasing up my i2 for example wouldn't fix the issue because the housing was molded poorly, flexes and binds.
