As far as I know you don't. I only had to charge mine for about an hour. Though, I noticed the 510 batteries only last about an hour at a time with heavy usage alittle long with less usage. I'm rotating through 4 batteries through out the day at this point. So I have smoke all day now. Had to wait with only 2 batts.

When I placed my first 510 order from Cignot.com, I emailed Vicky and asked. She told me Joye ships their batteries fully charged. When my kit arrived I threw one on the charger and started vaping with the other. The light on the charger went green in about 3 minutes, and I got over two hours off the one I started vaping on. Draw your own conclusions and don't hold me responsible, but I sure as heck wouldn't stare at the green light for 8 hours!

Pandora;

The answer is no. Vap it until it dies, put it on the charger, as 'soon' as the light goes green--take it off the charger. Futher (I'm not sure, but...)...I don't think these chargers trickle charge these batteries--I think as soon as the batter is charged up, they shut off.

More; I don't remember these lithium ion batteries 'liking' being trickle charged at all.

Remember, when it dies, sock it to the charger, when the light turns green--take it off. This should put an end to people charging them over night----instead, charge them up before you go to bed, then disconnect battery and charger.

bye.

Does this mean it's bad to leave them on the charger longer than the light turning green? The manual said to leave it on for at least an hour regardless of the light turning green or not. I have been leaving one battery on the charger until the other one seems to be getting weak. The one I plugged in last night around 11:30 is still plugged in and it's 4pm the next day. I don't want to be killing them faster by leaving them on the charger if I'm not supposed to!

I'm rather new to all this, but thought I'd share, I'm also no battery pro. The first kit I got I just charged and started using right away, I got a second kit today and did the 8 hour charge. It seems like the batteries that I charged for the 8 hours, the led shines brighter then the batteries I just charged and pulled off right away. Gave the batteries that I didn't charge for 9 hours a 5 hour charge today and they light up just as bright as the battries I charged for 8 hours. I think the 8 hour charge does make some differance, but they seem to work just as fine if you dont give them the first 8 hour charge.

I believe that even though the light turns green on a 510 battery charger sometimes the battery can still be charging. I have read on here that you can get more battery life if you let the 510 batt charge overnight. When the light turns green it tells you that you can now use it but I believe that you can charge more into it even when the green light is on.

I am confused, I just got my kit from Cignot and have been running off the same battery charge ALL day. I probably only hit it 50-60 times, maybe 3 seconds at the most each time and still plenty of vapor coming through.....maybe you guys are hitting it like a blunt or something lol I take little rips and get enough vapor to just satisfy my mind

I charge one overnight and it stays active for a good 4 or 5 hours until I need to switch it out. But then the one that I charged for those 4 or 5 hours doesn't stay charged for more than a couple hours before I have to switch. I end up switching batteries around 4 times a day on average. Now I also have an EVO and I can use one battery for like 10 hours before switching, so I take the EVO with me when I leave the house and a 510 with me for backup just in case. I actually like the EVO better than the 510 but I don't know if I would have been able to get used to using it if I hadn't started with the 510. It took some practice not to short the batteries out by flooding the atomizer because it's an automatic. I do occasionally get juice in my mouth with the EVO but not often. That's if I overfill the cartridge. I like both the EVO and the 510 for different reasons but for me, the 510 battery doesn't last too long. However, I do hit it kinda hard lol - a lot like a blunt. Otherwise I don't get good vapor. I guess if the vapor isn't important to you smaller, shorter hits to save the battery would be good.
