I have some pretty good charging equiptment from my RC hobby.
Has anyone out there used an astro 109D lith charger or other peak charger to charge their lith batts?
Is 50 Mah too much for these little batteries? Thats the minimum charge limit, and can charge down to one cell 3.7 lith. I figure you could just get a spare end cap from the original charger. This way you could really monitor the amount of amperage going into each battery and possibly condition them to hold a charge longer and know when they are dying You could rig up someting with a deans plug on the end.

Don't call me a nerd please. :)

Thanks

I cycle my cigar batteries on my Tritan now and again, just to check the capacity :)
The are just regular plain AAA size LiIon batteries though, no electronics.

I think the charge circuit in the e-cig batteries may actually be in the battery though. You can't measure open voltage - unless you blow on it to activate the switch - and then you may be charging through a diode or transistor as well. That would throw the voltage off that your charger sees, if it's even capable of charging through a diode. If that happens, and you are reading .25 or .5 V less than the battery, you could have a nice little explosion :-O

Dunno - if you try it (outside or in a steel box the first time) ,
let us know what happens :)

G'day RM , I use my swallow II in much the same way , it charges them fully and as the std charger is 100mA (for the DSE901 series anyway) it is actually charging them more gently and with, I am sure, a far better more controlled charge. I cant see why the astro would be any different?
