hey i've recently ordered a cheap e cig from deal extreme dot com, i was wondering what your thoughts were on cheap e-cigs

this is the one i ordered, i also ordered 50ml"s of juice i plan on cleaning the atmozier often and taking very good care of it. i am wondering what i should know about these knock off's.

also since all e-cigs are made in china (or most atleast) i figured i was getting a cheaper price because i wasnt paying for a cool name or advertising and that the quality would b the same

I ordered a similar type for my first kit as well. To be perfectly honest with you... although it has helped me put down the analogs, I don't find it all that satisfying. The one I have takes 4 hours to recharge and only lasts for an hour to an hour and a half. That's not a good ratio in my opinion. The ratio should be a longer vaping time than recharging time, which is why next week I'll be ordering an eGo. They have a much longer battery life and I know I'll be a heck of a lot happier with it vs. the one I have.

Well, let's keep in mind, unless you get a mod, ALL e-cigs come from China. And even if you get a mod, ALL atomizers are also made in China.

Plenty of them are good. As mentioned above, you can get a Joye 510 kit for $35. It's a great kit... and made in China.

Same with the Kr808D-1, another good model, and my first e-cig.

Same with the 901, 801, eGo, and lots of other well-regarded e-cigs.

Looking at that picture again, it looks like you only get one e-cig (1 battery and one atomizer) That's not really going to work especially when the recharge time is 4 hours as I said before. When I got my first kit, I had a defective battery that I had to send back and wait for the replacement to be sent to me, which left me with one battery. I had to buy analogs to help me get through those VERY long recharge times.

Personally, I suggest canceling the order if it's not too late or if it's already been shipped, refuse the shipment and then order yourself something better that comes with 2 batteries and two atomizers as well as the carts and charger. It'll be more expensive but in the long run, you'll be much happier!

yes, no problem with it being from China at all... that's where they're from after all. Worrisome that the cheaper unit only has one battery for one thing, also to consider is can you easily get the refill cartridges? Can you easily try other flavors? What will you do when the battery is charging for 4 hours? Or you could buy two of them so one can be used while the other is charging.... then there's the problem of the charge time taking longer than the time it takes to use up the charge?

In order to have enough batteries to have one charged and ready to go all day, you'd need to buy three kits - then it ends up being more expensive than the 510 after all.

I guess it really depnds on what you paid. It appears to be a DSE103 model(could be a 306, but not likely). If you paid $10 and low shipping price, then maybe it was an OK deal, but not the best. Some of those kits on the chinese sites are WAY overpriced and you can do better shopping locally. The most important question is, how does it work for you? If it gets you off cigs, great deal. BTW, you can buy spare parts for it locally, usually @$10 for a bat. Cartos are easy to come by. So I say, you have it now. Make it work for you.

What I'd ask myself when buying an e-cig is 'How much was I spending on analogs?'. And 'How much will I pay to save money by quitting smoking?'

In 7 weeks, I tried 3 different e-cigs (a crap mall cig, a 510 and an Ego), and (including juice), I spent about $400. But the Ego is perfect and I now have enough juice and flavors to last me till christmas and beyond. In 4 - 5 months, I'd have spent $1000 on analogs, so IMO, I'm ahead of the game.

Edit - If you can't cancel the order, or that e-cig turns out not to be so good, I wouldn't worry. Even if you end up spnding money on another, better one, you'll probably still be saving in the end - and more importantly, getting something that will keep you off analogs.

shipping is always free, and yea it was only 10$, i got 50ml of "red bull" flavored juice for 13$ (lol the juice was more expensive then the e-cig) i'll keep u guys posted once i receive it in the mail.
it can be refilled with juice so i dont think i have to worry about cartridges, unless i lose some.

any other things i should look out for? also "legpro" was looking for a site with free shipping, cheap e-cigs, and express paypal..... well this is the site

i hope this doesnt keep you from taking me seriously (i;m not addicted to analog ciggs or nicotine) i love the nicotine buzzz! i got this as a fun gadget. that being said i still want a quality e-stogg

I have to tell you, that is alittle worrysome. These devices are designed to help people fight their addiction to cigarettes. Granted, if you were planning on continueing smoking cigarettes and this will replace it for you, no harm done. Just my :2c: As long as you are over 18, I have no beef w/ your decision. If you only paid $10, you scored as far as I'm concerned w/out shipping costs. You can always buy another at that price if you feel you need more than one batt.

Yeah, as a person who went through severe withdrawals during a week of trying to quit cold turkey, I do find "enjoying the buzz" to be worrisome, and second Lowthudd's post. As far as nicotine goes, at the least it takes a lot more from your wallet than caffeine does (unless you really like Starbucks and other gourmet coffees). At the worst, it can negatively impact your health in years to come.

Trust me, if you continue to play with nic, you are almost guaranteed to become addicted, either psychologically or physically. At that point, it stops being fun and becomes a requisite. That being said, it's your life, body, and wallet. I can't make those decisions for you and I share my experience as fair warning. I wish I never started.

Getting off my soapbox now...

Assuming you're an adult, you can do as you please.

But this is really, really unwise. If you think you are above becoming an addict, you are 100% wrong. You WILL become an addict. If nothing else, the hand-to-mouth addiction will get you. And it is far more powerful than you think. For me, it is the toughest part of the addiction.

It's your body and your life. But no one really knows how safe e-cigs are in the long-term. And why you'd take that risk with your health is beyond me. I just don't understand why someone would choose to become a junkie. Because that is what you've chosen - don't fool yourself.
