Welcome to ECF, grogg...

Seriously? There are literally hundreds of mechs and RDAs on FT. To recommend anything will end up being a combination of performance and more often than not, personal taste. Then there's metals... copper, SS and brass, plus coatings in black, red, blue and even rainbow. Not so easy huh?

I personally prefer "deep well" RDAs... so everything listed is a DW.

A solid, nicely matched SS set-up that I can personally vouch for are the ToL mod and the Origen 1:1 RDA.

In brass, the GP Paps clone and Veritas RDA.

In copper, the XXIX and again, a Veritas in copper.

The Veritas is a tricky build and requires a coil fixture to produce nice tight coils... so unless you have some skills, look at other, more conventional RDAs... or an easier to build "deep well" option might be a Magma.

Don't forget to buy a quality Ohm build box and a DMM so you can measure voltage, resistance and continuity... and take some time to click on my second hyperlink - read the article, and all articles linked within.

Cheers

ive also been sitting back with a shopping cart on fasttech.

what do you think of my selections??
this would be my first RDA/Mech.

Sounds good. I don't mean to be a downer but remember mechanicals don't have any safty functions so you will need to make SURE you check your ohms on a ohm reader. Check for shorts. Know the resistance of your coil. Know ohms law and know the formula, do the formula to ensure you are not exceeding your batteries limitations. Know your battery. Know it's limits. And NEVER push your battery past it's limits!!! As long as you do these things you should be fine. Just be safe as your learning. Hope this helps a little. These things will come second nature once you do them enough. Do you have a ohm reader yet?? If not grab one from fasttech. Never build without one.

I can recommend a few RDAs that i own that are also available on fasttech: Magma, Plume veil, Trident V2
I won't give you a specific link because there are variations of each and i couldn't say which is better, you could read the reviews on each.
The plume veil is new so there are no reviews so it's kind of a gamble, but for low price of everything you can't really go wrong.

I would go with the zenith or the plume veil for ease of build. As for a mod I personally bought the brass stingray ( the one with only the 18650 tube ) and its a good performer. As for batteries stick to the sony 30AMP like the VTC4 or VTC5. I would also stress you check your resistance with a multi-meter or buy an ohm checker on fasttech to be safe. Read up on ohms law a little and you will be on your way to dripping.

Welcome to the forum btw!
