In addition to my suggestion of a Cigreen Tank Crossing, I'll also echo the suggestion of a Dovpo GX200. It's not mechanical but it is an unregulated dual battery box and has reverse battery protection, short circuit protection, and a voltage readout, which is kind of nice. They get good reviews from users. And, it's only $26.

Holy crap! Short protection, voltage readout, and it's only $26?? What are the cons??

And why in the description does it say max output 20A? Wouldn't that depend on the batteries? If two 20A batteries were parallel in there wouldn't you effectively get something around 30A from it?

And is fasttech the only place I can get one of these? I did a quick search and it seems like that's the only retailer that shows up.

The con is that you cannot see any of the internals and you have absolutely no idea what they've used to get power going where it should be. Limiting it to 20A sounds like they know the internals can't take everything you can throw at it, which worries me.

Well they say limited to 20A but over current protection to 30A... Forgive me, but what sense does that make?

It doesn't sound very mechanical at all to me. They seem to be confusing unregulated and mechanical, there is likely circuitry inside with some sort of fuse or other witchcraft involved. Personally I would avoid it at all costs.

So where are these users that gave it praise?

I just want a nice less expensive hammond style? Small dual 18650 box.

Dimitri or Cherry Bomber box clone from Fasttech is your cheapest/best option IMO

Dimitri clone
$30.06 Dimitri Style Mechanical Box Mod - 2*18650 / aluminum alloy at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Cherry bomber clone
$29.45 IVOGO Cherry Bomber Styled Mechanical Box Mod - 2*18650 / aluminum / silver at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Both employ full mechanical function so there is no wiring, no mosfet and no worry about a switch that may or may not handle the load you're sending it.

This is exactly what I was thinking. If you don't feel comfortable ordering from fasttech, you can also find both as Ivogo clones available in the States. Decently priced too. True parallel 18650 mechanicals utilizing copper inside. I've been looking at the Dimitri forever lol.
