when i posted this i don't think i was exactly clear. i'm not looking to buy cheap e-liquid or DIY, rather i'm looking for the most economical way to be able to vape different flavors without having to buy 10 tanks at 5 bucks each. i'm new to vaping as well, so i get confused about atomizers, cartomizers, etc... which one is cheaper and will fit on an ego?

Get a 510 compatible drip atomizer (I'll let the others duke it out on recommending a specific one!) and a drip tip. A drip atomizer lets you put a few drops of juice in, puff a couple times, and you're done. Some puff an unflavored juice between flavors in order to clean it out, others (myself included) just try to puff likely compatible flavors back to back.

The pros: great flavor, great vapor, easy to try a new flavor quickly.

The cons: can be hot, dripping may be inconvenient for you, higher chance of getting hot juice in the mouth if you're not used to what you're donig.

since you already have an ego battery, I would suggest an ego c atty with the changeable heads. I have used the changeable heads on three units (ego-c, ecab and eroll) Since you are just looking to change a tobacco based flavor..the flavor "swaps out" easily on this atty without need ing to change it or clean it between flavors. A few days a go I tried an entilre sample pack by placing a few drops on the wick.."clearing" that flavor with a few drops of my "regular" and then moving on to the next flavor. Using compatible flavors should make swapping a breeze..just fill the tank with the next flavor..will blend out..then run clean with the new flavor in no time at all. The atty heads can be dry burned and re-wicked easily. Mine each last a few months and break down to just over $4 each. You will not need a separate atty for each flavor.

I use 808s so I may not be the best source. I take an old cartomizer, remove the filler (leave the middle tube), and drip 2-3 drops. They are easy to flush out with water when I'm done. This is how I sample new flavors...not for continuous vaping. Not sure if 510's or egos have similar cartos, but it's cheap and efficient for me.

I really like these:
GotVapes PHOENiX™ REBORN Bottom Coil XL 1.5ml Carto 2.4-2.6ohms [gv-PHOENIX-XL-2.4-510] - $11.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

small, super easy to clean, can chain vape with them, no leaking.
Works for me, I have 4 going all day, all different flavors changes every day (till i find that ADV)

I use something akin to the Phoenix. Ce3 will perform the same function, generally can get a 5-pack for under $10, and unlike a cartomizer which retains the previous flavor, these can be rinsed out and refilled with another.

Honestly your best route for flavor sampling in MY opinion is a De-bridged 510 atty with a bottle of flavorless PG to clean it out between vaping. I find the bridge likes to help keep the old flavor in the atomizer. YMMV.

I haven't used many atomizers as I am mostly a tank guy.
But I would recommend a 510 Cannon 1.8ohm from IkenVape.com
It won't fit in a drip shield so it will have minor leaking issues but it is a FANTASTIC VAPE!

If you want to switch flavors a lot, do yourself a favor. Learn what you can about dripping, then buy an HH .357 long barrel atty. Get an eGo twist so you can change voltage. Learn to take care of the atty as that model isn't cheap ($22) but will last a very long time with proper care. It is by far the best disposable atty out there imho. I use mine for sampling flavors and checking on steeping juices. Awesome thing it is.

I use CE3's from altsmoke....I can add a tiny amount of liquid to test flavors and when I want to switch flavors I just pop out the center post, rinse, dry with a paper towel and on to the next...seems like a lot of work but really it takes about 2 minutes to do.....I don't like dripping so this works great for me...you do have to use a syringe but its no big deal at all once you get used to it...The ones I use are like $9:00+ for 5 and the syringe comes with them...I love them so much that I use them all the time, not just for testing flavors which is why I tried them to begin with. :)
