Hi. I got this Cheapie Dripper the most inexpensive high quality dripper in vape. and dont know how to take it apart! Ive never built a coil either. I have silica wick and 30 gauge kanthol wire. Someone I spoke to suggested folding the wick back on itself so there is a double thickness for the wick and then wrapping the wire 4X around. Im going to be using this dripper on a ProVari Mini. Just an experiment...

I have one like this, I have to put it on a mod to take it apart. The top cap is very stiff.

As far as coil wrapping, I do mine just like you mentioned. I spent a lot of time watching videos, it does help. Make sure to cut the voltage down really low before test firing and make sure to check the ohms before firing.

Some one will be a long in a minute with a little more help.

The top cap may be pretty tight. You have a couple options, but the best would be to screw it onto a mod, then pull on the top cap. It should come off by doing this. However, and this is a little more iffy, you an take a screw driver and "press" the bottom out of the top cap. Be careful by doing this though since you may scratch the inside (I recommend the first method).

Since you're using 30 gauge, I would do one fold of the silica, then doing around 6-7 wraps of the wire. Since you have variable voltage, making a 1.5 to 2 ohm coil will be absolutely fine. Be sure to test the resistance before firing it on the mod (you may have a short). Finally, when you know the resistance, set your Provari to the lowest voltage and do a couple dry fires. You may see some hot spots but poking the coil around a little will get rid of those.
