Well, the only time I get check battery is if the battery is 1/3 charge left and I go to fire it at 30watts or above. Some flaw in the firmware I have seen that though the idle dim screen will show above 1/3 charge, hit the button the battery bar dips to lower than what is left in the battery. If the battery is fully topped off and doing this, then I am suspecting the amp draw the mod is needing to reach the wattage you set is spiking above the 20amp continuous the MNKE can provide, though then again its 30amp initial burst should handle that. Only other suggestion I could give would be go with the Samsung INR 18650-20R, LG IMR 18650 HE2, Orbtronic 18650 SX30 (30amp) or SX22 (22amp), or the newer xtar 30amp 18650 (which is technically the old trusty Sony VTC4 30amp)

Would recommend going to 30 amp continuous IMR's, when running at high watts, it requires an ample amp supply to put out when boosting the voltage up so high. Likely, if you dialed the watts down, then she'd fire for some more vape time.

I'm a big proponent of getting the highest amp continuous batts that you can get. They just have more Useable power. Not only more power, but also safer. Even on like 15 watt devices, on will get superior performance out of a higher amp batt, and longer running time.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!

I borrowed a charger from a buddy and got them charging. I think I'll leave them in the charger for 5-6 hours just in case. My nitecore d2 is still in the mail. I got 2 efest 35a coming in the mail for a ipv3 I ordered. image.jpgimage.jpg

Hey guys turns out the problem was that I got bad batteries yea those you see up top. A buddy let me borrow a VTC 5 and it's hitting like a champ don't recommend the mnke 18650 and bought a pair of VTC 5. I can't wait for those to get here. More updates to come and IPV3 also coming soon.

Were did you get the VTC5's from?

I think LG HE2 18650 batteries are rated lower than they really are right Dice? They really hit 30 amps instead of the listed 20 amp safely.

Well, the Lg wrapped ones come in at a strong 20, so depending on the day made type crap, they could test out 24-30 continuous, but guaranteed 20's:D Their rejects are picked up by Efest and others, re-wrapped and sold as like supposedly great batts, but are actually sloppy seconds, or something like that:D

It all about available amps, frak paid $20 per VTC5, last two I could find locally, legitimate, so was happy to score, but still, kicking myself for not like grabbing five when the were $9, and easy to find.
