Too much wick? Getting a lot of crack and pop.

Thanks

Unlike the regular cotton's, the Cellucotton doesn't swell up as much (if at all) when it's juiced. So you do want to just fill the coil with it, with not as much slack as you'd leave with other cottons that will swell andcan fill the coil too tight. CC is the fastest wicking cotton for me, but my long lung hits eats it up pretty fast, can even melt it. So even though rewicking takes near no time to do I still went back to KGD on the Reo's. They don't need the fast wicking anyway.

Rayon doesn't melt. It burns much like paper.

Raising the coil gets you your TH - experiment with pulling it up even higher.

The amount of wick you show looks good - maybe a tad on the 'too much' side.

And yep - I find my throat gets accustomed to TH pretty quick. I need a 3 mg juice first thing in the morning, 6 throughout the day, 12 to finish the night off. Next day, start all over. Changing juice flavours helps keep the throat guessing. I'll use up to 4 throughout the day. It's also a good reason (excuse) for needing more reos.

Been using the rayon cellucotton for several months now, coming from KGD previously. Looks a little heavy on the wicking... I agree with RSZ1 on the amount - maybe upto a quarter less. You want a little bit of 'shoulders' with rayon, but not body builder shoulders.. Like swimmers shoulders. I get the cracking and popping when I first change wicks, but it's gone after a half bottle of juice at most. I think that comes from tiny stray strands separated from the pack trying to siphon their own colony of juices to the coil and they end of spitting tiny boiling balls of lava with rage against your trigger finger. By your pic, I can see several of these strands hovering over coil.

Rayon, like cotton, is a little tough to gauge by looking at it. If it is dry hitting but the wick looks soaked, you have too much. If there are any gaps between the rayon and coil you need more. I've had good luck with not twisting it and using just enough so that it drags through the coil. If it needs to be twisted to get it all the way in then I pull some more off. If it slides through the coil without dragging its too little and I add more.

I got lucky on my first try, and have been having to re-wick more often than not since then.
