I ordered a few things from myfreedomsmokes, among them Creamsicle and Mocha Coffee e-liquid. They threw in a sample of grape. I have to say I'm disappointed in the juice. It says to shake before use. I did. I filled my Ego-c tank with the creamsicle and vaped. It tasted weird, but I figured that it was the atty so I kept going and all I got was this horrible chemical taste with an orange PEEL taste.

So I tried the coffee. It was a lot of the same. The coffee taste is stronger than the orange but it still have a very chemically taste. The best of the three is the grape, although it doesn't taste like grape. It tastes like sweettarts!

Everything else about the order was great. Everything came and it was fast shipping. I just wanted to give my :2c: and see if anyone else has had this trouble. I wonder if there is anything I can do about it. Hhmmm.

Thanks
Sam

As a matter of fact, I just had the same issue. An order of TFA premium tobacco flavor came in today, and I knew as soon as I opened the bag it was secured in that something seemed strange - the odor was tremendous and can only be described as perfume-y or chemical - NOT tobacco-y as I'm used to, although there's something tobacco trying to happen in there. I'm aware that some juices need to steep for a while to achieve their best (and sometimes bearable) flavors, but this is strong/naughty. I mixed some up with some unflavored VG nic juice that came in the same order and as expected, it's hard to accept. I decided to leave the cap off the mixture overnight on the bakers rack to hopefully vap off some of that smell - my wife recently walked over to drop off some cook books and asked what was burning. After we established there was not a fire, I moved the mixture out to the garage for the night. Hopefully Drug Task Force doesn't raid us in the middle of the night thinking we're a .... lab. ;)

This is the first juice order of any kind I've done with MFS, but all my hardware comes from them (unless they're out of something temporarily) and I am ALWAYS happy with the promptness and quality of packaging. If this doesn't stop scaring people after a few days, I'm going to have to consider contacting MFS for some sort of exchange. I'm leery of conceding that this aroma is inherently evil, objectivity with regards to flavors being what they are, but this might change my mind. Let me know if your situation changes man.

korn, it changes flavor after steeping for that long. Just to make sure that everyone reading this understands, what you ordered is a flavor apprentice flavoring not an e-liquid, and it is a very strong flavoring at that. In its present form it cannot be vaped on its own and will smell more "chemically," but after mixing it into an e-liquid it will not smell as strong. My suggestion is to start with a low percentage (2-3%) of this flavor when mixing and work your way up slowly until you like it. In fact, many people feel that even 2-3% is too strong with this flavoring and instead use only a few drops.

I think i found my answer. This being my first MFS flavor, I should have played around with the percentages before I made an entire batch. When I get home I'll dilute it down to about 2 percent and see what I come up with.

Thank you all for the help, I'll let you know how it turns out. .

Yeah, some flavors are stronger than others and this happens to be one of the strongest. Most people use this flavor as a base tobacco flavor and then add other flavors for enhancement. This can result in complex, layered flavors.

Alrighty, I've had a good few days to let this flavor settle and she's a champ now. Like the review on the MFS site, it's away from the sweet side of the spectrum and has more of an earthy/savory feel to it. Very enjoyable. I'll keep this thread on topic and save the review for the site.

Bottom line is, if you're having trouble with the chemical scent, check your mixture and allow some amount of time for the juice to steep. I reduced the flavor % and it made the juice satisfactory and a few days after that, behold, a delicious blend. If you're still not convinced that your issue is resolved with these steps, contact MFS. They know specifics about the flavors they carry and can help you get a working blend.

Sorry to stir up the nest, and thanks for all the assistance. I have a new daily vendor for my daily vapes!

Now that I'm moved I've finally been able to get back on! :)

I let the juices sit this entire time. A couple of days ago I took the lid off of the Creamsicle. It started to smell better which gave me hope. I decided to go ahead and try it today and it tastes exactly like Orange PEEL. I'm not impressed at all.

I tried the Mocha again and it's about the same. It tastes weird, the only word to use. It's not a mocha taste and it's not a coffee taste. I'm not sure what it is.

I definitely won't be buying juice from MFS anymore and I'm sad that no one but Kornesque has had this experience and that was with DIY and mine was pre-mixed. I'm also glad that others aren't having issues!!

Thank you

I mixed some tpa tobacco and steeped with out the caps in a dark place for 2 days and nights.next I had put the caps back on let them shook it good and let sit for another day. Shook and vaped! Most of the taste you guys are describing had past except for a slight hint of it. What does this mean? It means more steep time, thats all....

Myfreedomsmokes are on top of there game,

Any e-liquid that only has two options (nic level and bottle size) are pre-mixed and therefore should require little to no steeping. Any e-liquid with options for pg/vg mix or flavoring strength such as strong or extra strong flavoring are custom made for each order and may require steeping. I can attest that we often use much more flavoring in our liquids than many of our competitors, this is why our lowest flavoring level is titled "strong". For most this results in drastically improved taste and tons of flavor, but for some it can seem overflavored. If this is the case for you, when ordering you can request in the order comments that your custom made e-liquids be mixed with less flavoring and we will adjust accordingly. I'm sorry that you have not enjoyed our e-liquids. We do try to please every customer, but when dealing with tastes it can vary so drastically that we understand that we cannot make everyone happy. Let me know if you have any more questions
