hi all here is an update on the cherry bomb it's finished :D and she's goin like a good un lol the button for the switch is done but not as low profile as i wanted but enthusiasm got the better of me will be a lot flusher to the body on the next one. if you can see it the negative of the switch touches the body when you screw it together that was the idea although i couldn't be sure it would work until it was completed phew big relief that worked the rod sticking out goes to the battery + terminal its just push fit could be on the bat side just showing where it belongs thats all hope you all like. the next case i think will be encrusted with rhinestones lol maybe i should give p hilton a call:p://img144.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=p0506092109.jpg type http before this.sorry i cant work out the posting pics thing yet if someone can put them up for me thanks

txsrooster you are a genius leave the thread in the cig casing just cut up to it and trim round because i've just cheked the continuity and there is none which means by default the thread is isolated from the negative of the body when you glue it in with epoxy bravo my friend trust me gluing it in place and avoiding continuity is a nightmare !!

Just finished my version. I broke down a ratshack pushbutton switch to use as a connector for an m401 atty. I allowed this connector full tight contact with the cherry bomb body. Not a perfect thread size match, but diameter is the same and it screws secure enough when combined with the little ring washer that came off the pushbutton switch.

For positive I ran the post up through the connector to the atty, isolating this post from the connector with plastic tubing I found in a click pen I broke down looking for a spring. I think this direct contact with the atty is blocking air flow, so I will replace the connector when I find one.

And for negative I just have a post on a spring up through the bottom to the battery, again using another broken down pushbutton switch nut and screw as housing.

Just wanted to say thanks Wishbone. I had been looking for a way to put something together without solder. For me, this is it. Since I have just od'd on nicotine for the first time, I am certain this is the most power I will ever need.

thanks again.

This is truly the nerd's industrial pocket pen model. Not so elegant as your's Wishbone. But I was just looking for the fastest easiest thing I could do.
