You kidding dude?

If the designers didn't lazily make the switch make direct contact with the post below the 510, this issue wouldn't exist. It's not user error at all. They ....ed up the design, and people who aren't aware of these issues will almost definitely encounter a potentially serious problem.

I realize you proudly own three, but you shouldn't be defending this dangerous piece of garbage, and if you truly are an experienced vaper (with any concern for their safety) you'd discard these hunks of junk in exchange for any one of the hundreds of safer devices out there.

Also the 300$ authentics have the same issue as the clones.

Get tired of seeing the same argument time after time after time.

Life is dangerous. None get out of life alive.

Making fireworks is dangerous. Reloading ammo is dangerous.

The best we can do is learn and work from knowledge instead of fear and paranoia.

I thought we were done with the cb controversy. It is a great device that is intentionally designed the way that it is. There are some people, usually inexperienced vapers, who have never used it and find it scary. If you are a person who doesn't understand why it works the way that it does, then don't get one. If you own one and have a legitimate issue, then the many members here with Cherry Bombers would be happy to help out.

I'm not inexperienced. I understand the way it works, and I understand the (silly, nonsensical, and hokey) reasons as to "why". I realize all the owners commenting in this thread are professional vapers, and they'd never accidentally create a short. I made this thread more to warn people who are considering buying the device, and many have reconsidered upon learning about the auto-firing "feature." I didn't make this thread so the CB owners (all 3.. 4? of them) could circlejerk their vastly superior electronic cigarette knowledge and justify this mod's "features."

The jury's out, and the majority agree (across many forums, in vape shops, and otherwise) that it's a dangerous device. I've even heard of vape shops returning their metal versions to their vendors after learning about the shorting "feature." To continue to say it's anything other than a design flaw is a fine example of denial.

You validate our statements.

The majority of vapers use clearomizers, don't understand ohms law, and can't build a coil.

The majority of vapers should obviously avoid a CB.

Life has no ego.
Life doesn't care if you think you are an "expert".
Knowledge balances risk.

I use a CB every day and have never had a problem.

"Accidents" by a vaper aren't a design flaw, it's user error.
One must take responsibility for ones own actions, accidental or otherwise.
Such is adult life.

I thought we already went over this, but the shorting is not a feature. That is just a consequence of the way it works. It is a consequence that is unlikely to ever become an issue for someone who knows mech mods. The designers thought about it and decided that it was worth doing. They made something durable, without any wires, levers, or thin copper plates to extend. The new Raptor box could be seen as an upgrade to the CB, due to the desire to allow mounting of larger or square shaped atomizers. That mod is possible to short too, although it is even harder to do. But that is not the feature. Thats just a necessary consequence of the design. It was deliberately designed this way.

Thanks to all the fanboys for keeping this thread at the top.

A device that can autofire with the safety off with any metal atty and water or any number of short metal items found in purses and pockets the world over and no venting is a mod that can go die in a fire. And just might.

its a shame this unit has received bad publicity and reputation, i have always really liked the design of it and am tempted to pick one up..

Bad publicity from novice users who have never owned one, and barely grasp the concept.
It's not made for the "one size fits all crowd".
It's a fantastic device.
I own 3.
I use one every day.
I have never had a problem

Don't shove it in a pocket or use keys to intentionally short the atty against the body and you'll be fine.

You should understand how the device works first, but basically... Yeah.

If you shove metal against the mod and the shove it against the atty it completes the circuit, and fires.

The haters think you should be able to shove mods in pockets, or slam batteries in it and blindly roll out for the day.
That's gonna cause problems with the CB.
It's not for everyone, you need some knowledge to use it properly, and some vapers are upset about that fact.
(One size fits all)

Ask any one of these haters to show you their Cherry Bomber.
They won't.
They have never owned one.
Should be a big clue.
;)

It autofires and has no vents.

Has vents on the bottom.
If you had ever held one, you would know this.

It will not "auto fire".
It can't.

You have to physically complete the circuit, either by pushing the button or physically shorting the atty.

It will not automatically fire like a regulated device.

well its not like its tiny like a sx mini so it has no business being in anyones pocket..if you must carry it around one can buy a nap sack for it like the ones ive seen a few box mods come with like the tuglyfe mech mod..and from what ive read the CB was meant to be built like that so we cant say it was a defect from the assembly line..now if it wasnt meant to be like that than one can say yeah its a screw up..

I challenge you to show me one that exploded.
I'll wait.....
Or just show me yours.... I can help of you are having a problem.

Oh... Wait... You don't.. Own... One.

It is called a Cherry Bomber, correct?

I refer to it as a bomb ... as in, it could go off on it's own at any moment.

Watch the video in the other thread. It autofires. It will autofire continuously if you use an all metal atty.
Pockets aren't only in pants. They're in purses, jackets, backpags, briefcases, etc. Obviously you don't put this massive mod into your skinny jean pockets.
id prefer a dry hit over being seen in skinny jeans lol
