I would like to make a good cherry but I keep coming up with a bad cough drop taste! I've been using TFA concentrate and worked up mixes with as little as 1.5% to as much as 10% and it all tastes the same to me. Cough drop on one end and bad back end. I tried adding more sweetner/less sweetner, ethyl maltol, cotton candy, whipcream and it does not seem to make any difference. Right out of the mix or aging for 2 or more weeks. The only thing that I've been able to do is with a black cherry/french vanilla which tasted ok but I want a red cherry! Any ideas out there?

I too was on mission to find a good cherry and all my experimentations came up bad. They all came up tasting so synthetic. Then I figured I kinda like those Vicks cherry flavored cough drops so why not go with it, FAIL. Horrible, tried adding peppermint, menthol eucalyptus, spearmint all just worse. I tried less cherry, more cherry etc. The TFA black cherry was the best of all of them, but I got so SICK of cherry , I gave up.

THe best cherry premade was Highbrow Vapers Cherry, but ended up throwing it away as even the smell of cherry made me gag.

I would love to find a good slightly tart cherry recipe, even if it tastes like cherry candy.

Ive tried a couple cherry based juices from local b&ms that were just to chemical-y to vape. Got some tfa cherry it just didn't do it for me. I love Flavour Art's cherry though. It is a little more candy-ish by itself, but mixed with other things it really gives a nice cherry note. Haven't tried their black cherry yet, but I'm hoping it's as good. I hear it and a cola flavoring makes a very good cherry coke.

There is a brand of flavoring they sell at walmart called watkins. There flavors are not as concentrated as most,so you have to use a bit more, but the cherry from them is really good at about 10%-12%.It actually tastes like the juice from a bottle of cherries.

Yep, Watkins from WalMart is my go to cherry flavor. It is really good. Root beer too.
