This is probably my favorite flavor. This is a pretty simple recipe, but provides good throat hit, lots of vapor and a very satisfying flavor.

I use my own mixed unflavored base:

18mL of 33mg/mL base:
6mL 100mg/mL unflavored 100% VG from myfreedomsmokes.com
10mL VG
2mL water

10 mL ~25mg/mL Cherry-Cinnamon Bomb:
7.75mL 33mg/mL base
1.5mL 95% grain alcohol
1mL Cherry (LorAnn)
.25mL Cinnamon (LorAnn)

enjoy!

This sounds like a really tasty recipe and perfect for someone I know who is a little reluctant to start vaping...

She told me her favorite flavor is hot cinnamon like Red Hots or Big Red gum.

This is not the type of girl who would like anything called anything "Cinnacide."

My idea is to reverse the cinnamon to cherry ratio.

What would that one feel like?

Please post (anyone) if you've tried it. Thanks for this!

Bombenhagel,

I think reversing the cin. & cherry would be a bit extreme... The cinnamon flavoring is a lot more intense than the cherry... just the nature of the stuff.. As is, the cinnamon is not overpowering, so a little extra might be to some's liking. I would start with the amounts shown, and if you want a bit more spice, add a couple extra drops of the cinnamon. But again, a little bit of cinnamon (at least the LorAnn version I use) goes a long way!

Bombenhagel, you should try it, I've done this exact thing and the cinnamon is strong enough to give a Big Red taste to it. The Chery adds sweetness to make it like a candy flavor, without killing the cinnamon kick. That cinnamon is really strong and you don't need a whole lot to get the little sweet kick from it.

Good job eeMGee

Thanks Safira, glas you like it :) I'm pretty new to this, but I've always had an 'instinctive' ability to throw a bunch of crap together while cooking and having it come out good... Hopefully the same will be true for my DIYs...

I just raided my local Walmart and practically bought their whole stock of LorAnn flavors.. Don't know what I might try with grape?? (never know..), but root beer and butter scotch are turning in the back of my mind...

eeMGee, I have read some posts where ppl have great success when adding sassafrass to their root beer recipes to give the RB a deeper flavor. You being from the south, though, probably know that, right? As for the Grape, try Grape and Apple together -- maybe 70% grape, 30% apple. You could even call it Grapple or something silly like that. Or mix it w/peanut butter and call it a PB & Grape Jelly, LOL. Add it to Bubblegum & make Grape Bubblicious or add marshmallow and koolada to it for a grape icee effect. Let us know how they come out, LOL.

To me at least, the LorAnne's root beer is pretty horrid. It smells just like root beer, but I've yet to be able to mix it into something that's vapable. It just tastes like medicine. Maybe needs some vanilla or something with it, but if you manage to come up with anything, let us know. It smells too good to dump down the drain just yet.....

Thanks for the ideas Seabrook... Actually I'm from Canada and only moved south a few months ago... So truthfully I haven't a clue what sassafrass is :)

Sassafras is a tree - the dried root bark of the tree produces an essential oil - this oil is the main flavoring in root beer - which is why it is called root beer. In the old days they use to call root beer sassafras soda or just sassafras

What does the grain alcohol (everclear) do to the mix?
I just ordered some online, since I cannot buy it here in Ohio.
I fiqured I will use it one way or another!

I use it in my base at 10 percent to thin my liquid
to get additional throat hit
to keep things a little more sterile

but I just started using LR atomizers, and now I am getting too much throat hit, and I don't know if some more knowledgeable DIYer will chime in, but I wonder if I should now cut my PGA to 5 percent, going to try it today and see. Welcome to ECF, mikecup.

edit: I also use it to pour into a shot glass in the morning to sterilize my drip tips b4 vaping on them.

Thanks, being new to the DIY mixing, I do have all the supplies though.
I'm trying to figure out the formulas on here.

Go onto the main thread, these guys in the DIY forum really, really know their stuff and are really helpful. I learned from reading their posts, and when you figure out the formula and start mixing your own juices, you'll find they taste so much better. Also, it's nice to have control over your flavoring percentage by which strength you choose for yourself. And also by mixing your own, you know it is as sanitary as it should be by choosing ONLY USP grade PG/VG/flavorings.

I think the others summed it up pretty good. I started adding grain alcohol to my mixes for the throat hit. I have heard (but never tried) that PG gives better throat hit than VG, but VG gives more vapor... I use 100% VG, and found that adding 15% grain alcohol gives my juices a nice throat hit. FYI 'throat hit' is that unpleasant sensation that heavy smokers crave... when you inhale it makes you almost cough (go figure why we like this... ). Also, I have found lately I have been reducing my nicotine level since I starting dripping (dropping the e-juice directly on the atomizer wick, with an empty cart cap), when using my previous ~25mg level, I started getting a little dizzy... unfortunately cutting back on the nicotine reduces the throat hit. I'm sure there is also a limit on how much alcohol in the mix would have any effect.

As also mentioned, with 100% VG it helps thin it out, and if you buy a big bottle, its also a great cleaner. "denatured ethanol" (which behaves pretty much like 95% grain alcohol, but with 5% Methanol mixed in to make it poison) is commonly used in laboratories as a water displacer... I.e. you can wash stuff with water, then give it a rinse with alcohol, and it removes the water, and the alcohol dries much faster.
