Cherry Flavors (Another thread ... I know)

So Im sorting through post after post about cherry flavors.
They call come up with "It tastes like cough syrup!!!"

A local shop has maraschino and black cherry. They both tasted AMAZING. No syrup taste, etc. Just sweet and flavorful. So I know it can be done.

So is their a secret thread I can not seem to find even beyond ECF that spills the secret ?????
Cause I sure can not find it !!

I just want a good cherry

Unfortunately I think that means pick a company and try their cherry. If you don't like it, pick another company and try again. I say that because I've also went through a lot of threads on cherry and I've yet to find one that is uniformly liked. I finally found a couple that I like with Inawera (Cherries and Wisnia) but I've seen negative reviews on those as well. I'd say start with Inawera or maybe Hangsen. Good luck.

I've seen alot of good reviews on Cherry Crush, I myself don't like cherry much, So I haven't tried it yet.

FYI, TFA Natural Cherry tastes like cough syrup to me, I use it for mixes that need a little tartness, but only if the other flavorings will overpower the cough syrup taste. Have not used it at over 3% in mixes for fear of the cough syrup taste, so I would stear clear of that flavor unless using it as a small percentage additive to other flavors.
