I am looking at buying a large ammount of kanthal from lighting vapes. They told me it was China wire but higher quality then most China wire (whatever that means) and assured me it was A1. I am wondering, anyone use lighting vapes specifically. Would go through Temco but the shipping is crazy pricey on E Bay to Canada and way to long otherwise. Lighting Vapes I am looking at 1450ft of varying gauges for 106$ shipped, wire for life-hopefully literally lol, thats a lot a wire. So, is it as good as Temco wire? I really hope it is and doesnt taste disgusting or whatever seeing as I am getting 1000ft of my primary 24/26g and 450ft of 22, 28, 30 and ribbon haha.

Thanks man, all I hear. Steve, you used Lighting Vapes wire specifically? What was so bad about it. All I hear is LV wire is on par with Temco. Its just MUCH cheaper shipping.
Cool. I trust you, I will be placeing my order now and getting a large quality. Im in Canada and I hate paying ten bucks for 30ft of LV wire from a B&M. Figure I'll just order a large amount of what I use the most as well as some others all at once so I can have wire for years.
Yea Im just being silly. I have no clue but I can get USA wire for 5$ per 100' so no reason to get anything else. Im sure its fine.
Yea, I would not use FT wire probably and I MAY just go with Kidney Puncher and pay a few bucks extra in shipping but I dunno. I will email them but do you guys know if KPs wire comes from Temco. I think it does.
I've gone through 200-300ft of kanthal wire from both lightning vapes and temco. They are both reputable, lots of people use them and I was actually referred to them. Just make sure its Kanthal A1 wire, the grade is the main thing, whether it comes from china or not doesnt matter unless it comes from a reputable dealer and it is kanthal A1.
One of the main reasons I havent used fasttech wire is because they list them all weird, with Kanthal Nichrome in the title so you have no clue what wire it actually is. I've actually found some on fasttech though that is just listed as kanthal and has decent reviews and seems to be order a lot (guessing some vendors even actually buy that wire and just resell it on their branded spools because there is always a stocking date on them, lol), I'm gona be ordering a bunch of it from fasttech and see if its the real deal, because it really is super dirt cheap and as long as its real kanthal i'll probably order loads of it to stock up for the vapocalypse lol.

anyone who uses off the shelf stuff uses Im guessing the cheapest China wire available So I doubt you have much to worry about where ever you get it from.

Get like ten feet of varying gauges. Get a small amount of 1 gauge. If you like it, stick with it, if not, next time, buy something diferent.

Thanks man. I know exactly what I like. 24 and 26 in all 30+ of my RDAs, 28 in my tanks and I like to have a little 22 on hand as well as 30 and ribbon for tiger wire. Im tired of spending ten bucks here and there on kanthal. I would rather get a lot of what I use, and ALWAYS have and will use and be done with it for a long time. Once I know what I like if I need it over and over again (like kanthal) I just buy a large amount for as cheap as possible. Thanks for the wise words though my friend.
