Fun to see this old thread bumped up! I think we've all discovered that small American juice vendors can get pharma grade nicotine etc. and that, for many of us, they produce a far superior juice. (With all due deference to the Dekang lovers out there.) We've come to know and trust many of them. It was always simple for me - I'd take a home baked pie over a factory produced one any day. It's not patriotism, that's not my passionate thang. It's a deep mistrust of mass factory production of things that go into my body, Chinese, American, whatever. I actually dislike Dekang now anyway, and was so happy when the mom and pop's started really cookin'.
(I started out with V4L and was a very devoted fan, and am still forever grateful to them, and for that matter to China for inventing this whole amazing thing. I thought V4L's brand of Chinese juices were the cat's pajamas and have since moved on out into the great wilderness of it all, but it's those big factories that produced, and produce, enough juice to really spread the vaping alternative. And now I see that V4L has an American-produced juice... go figure. :) So yay for everybody. )

The people who screwed up the dog food and infant formula are in a Chinese prison as we speak. I'd say that's being held accountable. The U.S. would never hold an American CEO accountable when his product killed people. Never have and never will. Massey coal mine explosion. Who was held accountable? No one. BP oil platform explodes and 12 people die. Who is held accountable? No one. The list goes on and on and on.
The guy who ran Box Elder in the U.S. and sent out 200mg nicotine with a 100mg label. Was he "held accountable"? Hell no. He's sitting beside his swimming pool sipping on an iced tea.
The two biggest e-juice scandals in recent history were 100% caused by U.S. companies, yet China make a thousand times more e-juice than is made in the U.S. Nobody from the U.S. went to jail. Nobody was prosecuted. No one was held accountable. And you criticize the Chinese? LOL!!

Even if you sued an American corporation in civil court, they've seen to it that they're protected with award caps. AKA Tort reform. Think that only applies to "frivolous" lawsuits? Well, think again. In 23 states, if an American company sold toxic baby formula and caused brain damage in babies, they'd be liable for a maximum of $250K per child and no one would go to jail. In China, they'd be executed. How accountable can a billion dollar corporation be held when a baby's life is only worth a maximum of $250K? Who was it that doesn't value life? China? Hahaha...Make me laugh.

Value of human life?? ROFLMAO!!! The U.S. values human life if it's American human life, sort of. Sometimes. If you're rich or famous. 50,000 deaths by preventable illnesses due to lack of health care. Yeah, we value human life. Ask the Indians killed by Dow Chemical in Bophal how we value life. Ask the people American corporations kill in South and Latin America who was held accountable. Heck, ask an Iraqi or an Afghan how much Americans value human life. A soldier goes berzerk and slaughters 17 people. What's the value? $50K a head. But I guess an Afghan life is cheaper than an American life. An American life is worth a whopping $250,000, if you win the lawsuit and get the maximum jury award.

Can I get an Amen?

I read some of the mindless rah-rah drivel people spew, and what's worse make themselves believe, and just have to shake my head and move on most of the time, unable to bring myself to respond. Even though I know I should. Any absurdity or untruth repeated with sufficient frequency and not subjected to challenge becomes de facto truth with the passage of time, and is the essence of false propaganda. Thanks for picking up the slack. This was priceless.

ill take some joes ejuice cooked up in their basement any day over china sure their might be contaminated but at least i dont have to worry about lead and all those other chemicals that china loves to put in our products :D

No, all you have to worry about is that the vendor who sold you 36mg juice made it with 200mg nicotine solution that was mislabeled by his American wholesaler as 100mg nicotine. Ever vaped 72mg juice? I'd rather vape a trace amount of diethylene glycol, or even lead.

Here's another thing for the China bashers to consider:

Up until about 30-40 years ago, nearly every single manufacturing nightmare, every horror story, every contaminated and dangerous product was produced right here in the good ole' USA. Why? Because we were the leading manufacturer in the world. For example, during the Spanish American War, more soldiers died of botulism from canned meat than died in battle. All the baby strangling cribs were built here. The Pinto and Corvair were built here. Nearly every defective, dangerous and contaminated product sold here was made here.

Now, what do we make? Virtually nothing. We vast majority of all our exports are raw materials, just like some 3rd world country. It's hard to export contaminated iron ore, or trees, or recycled paper or coal or oil.

Now everything is made in China. It's a miracle that there aren't many, many more cases of contaminated products coming from China. No... On second thought, it's not a miracle. It's a testament to China and how they hold their corporate leaders responsible, under fear of imprisonment and even execution, for what they introduce to the market. If American corporations produced and manufactured as many goods as come from China, there is no doubt that there would be far more of these manufacturing horror stories.

There are few, if any, disincentives to cost cutting and shortcuts in American industry. The almighty quarterly profit report is all that matters. Every day, American industry does a cost benefit analysis to determine how much lawsuits and fines will cost them in proportion to the number of people they kill or maim. Professional bean-counters/lawyers make six and seven figure salaries for doing little else. If they determine a corporation can make a dollar for every quarter they pay in lawsuits and fines, that is considered a smart business decision. In America, the most severe penalties imposed on a corporation are simply nuisances, anticipated in advance and written off as the cost of doing business.

The FDA tested Dekang liquid and another Chinese-produced liquid and found none of that. I believe we need to step back and look at China objectively - their success means continued investment in the U.S. If China fails, America fails and China could easily destroy America if it started selling off its dollars and treasury bills.

I laugh myself to sleep at night thinking about how many people believe China's failure would lead to Americas failure. Not to mention the completely ridiculous idea that China could sell off T-Bills and do damage to our economy.

DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHY CHINA BUYS OUR T-BILLS? In case you have some stupid, ignorant right wing reply, allow me to fill you in. China buys US Treasure Bills because by doing so the are able to over value their own currency. If they ever and they never do, sell back these bills, their currency will devalue equal to the amount they sell back. Also, when the US create *new* money, China's currency also goes down because its value is tied directly to the amount of T-Bills they hold and the number of USD's in circulation. OH and that BS that goes around about China owning so much of our debt is absolute BULL..... More than 80% of US Debt is held by - WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES.

I am in agreement regarding the Dekang situation and they have a lovely facility with lots of very smiley, under paid workers, who if given the chance, would love to work here instead, but in the end, we do know what we're buying.

I prefer USA, because I'm an American and proud of it. As an American, we buy enough from China already as I'm sure you know. If you're an American and you are reading this, please support the country in any way/shape or form you can. :thumb:

Of course, if someone finds a good mix they like..well it's their business if they want to stick with it, but a lot of 'American' people only feel comfortable buying theirs USA made. Also there are more options here to protect them in case of faulty products etc. which I'm sure is not likely anyway, but we do live in a crazy-crazy world.
